    Yes

it's good that Reaper is giving great effects and processors for free.

    it's definitely not free:

    [Purchase a REAPER License
A new license includes free upgrades through REAPER version 7.99. There is only one version of REAPER. The license price depends on how you use it.
    $60 : discounted license.
    $225 : commercial license.]

    GainRider3 from TBProAudio is € 59.00 for one plugin. DynaRide2 is € 39.00.

People usually consider updates to products they have already paid for as "free". Because too frequently there are none.

A rider and this method are different approaches. This way it's way easier to apply changes and to adjust it, means it's more versatile, a rider is probably faster in its recognition/reaction.

I just recently told another member here that the change log for complete v6 is 22 pages long - until now. [IMG]

TBH, I started laughing. Two simple options, write the output, invert the amount and you get a completely new and useful function. This is typical for REAPER.

You can also use this as an effect. For instance on a snare hit. Fade it in or boost the decay.

Good one, this would work for me.

I dislike any rider plugin I have used thus far.

What I do in Fl studio is using Peak controller on a duplicate.
and a Purest-gain from Air-windows on the channel.

Actually, vocal rider will write an automation curve that you can adjust, it's the same principal as this without as many steps

That's interesting. I think I'm going to test and compare both.

May be it only me but I find Kenny talking is somewhat strange. Don't get is it some accent, wired intonation of crazy voice post-editing.

Yes, Kenny has quite an idiosyncratic style of speech. A strange mixture of intonation and pause cycles.
What usually drives highly and moderately gifted english speakers crazy is a blessing for people with very poor english skills. It ensures that the listener can actually decode the message just delivered before the next message is passed on.

but it's his voice and way he talks,
in some recent video he explains he does those pauses not in post-production, but the way he speaks and thinks at once

I'd like to second that as a non native speaker. I had no idea why people got mad at him until recently, haha.
