In Reaper how can i flip the phase on one channel of a stereo track? i was wondering if there's any stock plugin that does that in Reaper...otherwise i guess it will have to be a custom action splitting the stereo track into 2 mono, panning L & R...and then inverting the phase on one

As @PopstarKiller mentioned, the JS: Stereo Channel Volume/Pan/Polarity Control [utility/chanmix2] is a good straight forward option.
Exploding the channels into separate tracks allows for more processing control of each channel along with the combined gain increase as the channels are brought closer to center.

Also try the JS: Stereo Alignment Delay (by Geraint Luff). With this JSFX you can:
    • Flip phase per channel
    • Delay +/- 5000 samples per channel
    • Link L/R adjustments
    • Display Units or Samples
    • Detect alignment (with parameters)
    • Use on multiple tracks as reference send or receive for phase/delay correction.
