bobdule on Nexus 3.5.4, did you fix play the sounds?

 

The loading time is high only initially, max 5-7 seconds, then its like 3 seconds and I have installed it on an old failing HDD
Tbh, I don't use it as much I expected. And it can use way too much CPU for a Rompler

 

Okay, I'm going to first apologize for posting this should it be something truly stupid that I'm overlooking, but I've read the vast majority of the thread (as well as the translations from/of rut), and have spent the better part of two full days trying variations to get it to work (I'm working with the 3.3.9, I know links are forbidden here, but it's name is ReFX - ReFX Nexus 3 WIN/MAC - it didn't have a group listed in the torrent - at first it worked fine, saw the libraries, but had issues loading them. So I figured I did something wrong (followed the directions given in the torrent) - I"m rather *nix & Mac proficient, so the terminal isn't alien to me. I also amended my .hosts file to redirect (verses just blocking the IPs w/ firewall or Little Snitch).

Then it started saying that NONE of the presets were installed. Figuring I screwed up something somewhere, I removed everything system-wide: VSTs, deleted the /Users/Shared/reFX/ folder, the folder in /Applications, and just to make sure I didn't overlook anything that might have borked the installation I used FindAnyFile - removed literally EVERYTHING I could find related to Nexus that was in the system's files. The only thing I didn't delete were the torrents & the Nexus Content Library I have on an external.

When "installing" the torrent I read that some people put it in /Applications/nexus and some did /Users/Shared/reFX/ - deciding to kill two birds with one stone I installed in both, then edited ALL of the settings.json to point to the Applications folder as suggested here (INTERNAL THREAD LINK) by @recycle . I also created symlinks in BOTH /Users/Shared/reFX/ & /Applications/reFX/ pointing to my Nexus Content on my external.

Once I did that, I rebooted (always a good option), opened Ableton, & loaded Nexus... Success! I can now see the presets, but then immediately a registration box pops up asking for an e-mail & password. I did note that in credentials_n3.json files there's an e-mail address in a file, but nothing I've seen/read has had someone having to put the e-mail/password in there. I even tried dropping the .key files, license files, WIN license.dat file, etc.- nothing. I'm beginning to get a large welt on my forehead from slamming it against the wall for so damned long

I apologize for the long post, stumbling across a (seemingly) wholly new problem, tagging the guys I feel could help me the most @ArticStorm & @recycle ) and I'm not keen on asking for assistance, but I'm really at my wits end here. I really wanna use Nexus, don't want to give up, especially something (seemingly) so stupid that I'm sure I'm real close to get it up and working. Any help is appreciated, and please let me know if you need more info!

Guys I am having problems setting up the directory of nexus 3 content. I have entered the path correctly in the 'settings.json' file but when I load up the plugin, nothing shows up. Is there any fix?

 

Friends! Who can share the license updated license_n3.bin on the purchased original, official nexus 3.5.4./ 3.5.5 ???

you have to put double-slash (//) instead of single slash (/) while entering the path in the .json file.

 

Damn, 77 pages??? Quick questions there a way to have a legit Nexus 2 or 3 that can make the cracked Nexus 3 expansions work with it?

 

Guy i've read somewhere in here or the sister site that some of you have managed to install both a legit a cracked version of Nexus on Mac. I wanna do that so i can use the newer extensions alongside the older ones. Any way to do that ?

 

Suddenly I'm getting (see attached):

Before I get jumped by everyone, I've read all 77 pages (no, really). Now, as is my nature, I may have missed a solution. That said...what in the actual fuck am I doing wrong?

Suggestions I've seen are:

• Delete one of the IPs in hosts file (147.XX.XX.XX, presumably the cloud service?). It no worky
• Delete all (relevant) IPs in hosts file and instead add Nexus to the firewall (isn't that, like, the same as adding to hosts file?). Noperino
• Completely unblock Nexus. Oddly enough, nnnnope

After following each of the above suggestions, I've restarted not just the DAW, but the PC as well.

Upon first use, presets were being loaded/converted just fine, but maybe after a day or more it just stopped working.

 

have you tried load it in other DAWs ?

 

just change the name of the cracked vst?

77 pages now. Seems like a real hassle to get Nexus 3 to work. Just install Nexus 2 and the gigantic universe of libraries.

I read somewhere in here that Moria released a Nexus 3 installer for MAC on the sister site that blocks the IPs, but it looks like it got an DMCA takedown. Can someone please point me in the right direction or DM me? I downloaded the 3.3.9 installer + libraries for Mac. Big thank you in advance

 

Does anyone make Nexus 3 appear in Komplete Kontrol? I have the NKS, the previews, the NI Resources files, the *.xml file, the *.reg file, the path in both VST and Library inside KK, but still isn't showing up. Any tips?

 

Does Nexus show up in your library when you look in preferences?

 

it load as a vst in komplete kontrol.
there is no PAResource integration, the previews and nks are only for nexus.
