Difficult to say, my ears aren't that trained yet.
I have a big PA/Hifi system, z5500, JBL Partybox 300, KRK kit and some different headsets, and I try to make sure it sounds good on 'em all.

About the last part, that's what I'm trying to achieve - and I have high hopes since the Neural Networks are getting better each day.

a part of their work is to make it sound as good as it can be on each system it's played on. carradio, 'standard' stereo speakers, shitty headphones, studio headphones, shitty laptop speakers. messing around and trying to make it sound better with different EQ and loudness in an era known to almost all producers as the loudness wars will only mess things up, in the 60's your approach might have worked but in this day and age you're messing up a finalized product that the artist gave the ok for as the best representation of their sound and by doing that you're ruining their work.

    There are two problems here.

    1. @emanresu clings to the erroneous belief that simply by owning/using expensive software & plugins (nuendo/DTS etc), this will somehow enable him to miraculously 'improve' already mastered tracks.

    2. The mixir.com website doesn't provide detailed specs on their servers' audio streaming output anywhere on the site, which is of course suggestive... Indeed, the closest i could find to any mention of anything meaningful, was on one of their FAQ pages, where they indicate that listeners should be able to handle a minium of 60Kb/s to avoid buffering problems - this would indicate that their 'standard' broadcast speed is 64Kb/s i.e. not high at all & certainly NOT lossless! From this, it seems probable that even is @emanresu is paying for what they term as 'HQ', the mixir audio stream is still probably no better than 128kb/s...

In other words, no matter what you do, it's always going to sound mediocre on mixir. And by this, i mean that is even if you don't waste any more time fooling yourself that somehow you're inately the best mastering engineer on the planet...

Honestly, if you are serious about setting-up a class-leading online audio streaming station, you're approaching it entirely the wrong way. You should directly rent yourself some linux server space from a decent web-server hosting service, then install wordpress and OBS studio on that, so that you can then spend some time to PROPERLY configure/debug a proper HQ streaming service & bespoke website to promote your new venture.

P.S. All things considered, you'd probably be better of doing something else i.e. writing a new song/track...

also: if an artist wants a different approach to their music they'll ask another artist for a remix.

this alone should tell you that you really have no idea of what you are doing which is ok as long as you learn from it. have you even tried minimal settings and changes to the original and listen to that on a bunch of different systems?

Since there was no manual on the "Most Universal ReMastering Plugins" of the world, I had to try them all.
Think I've narrowed it down to 2-3 VSTs actually. But my routing is pretty impressive as we speak!

Streaming again btw, it's a bitch when a component stops working, Gah!

    Really liked your reply, friend.
    1) I spent a year collecting them, why not try to use them? :)
    2) I know, but there is an app for Windows with a SQ NQ HQ setting, I go by the HQ.
    3) Might look into that once the audio "is down".
    Again, thanks!

Still sounds awful. The biggest meter on your screen (in the upper left) is about correlation and should be in the green range most of the time, not in the red. It's not about 20 fancy plugins, it's about knowing (and hearing) what to do with it. And again, this is no hate.

You can't reinvent the wheel. When unqualified people build a house don't be surprised if it collapses in the next storm.
Leave work to this, people who have learned it.

    Hehehe you guys!
The correlation meter is actually not in the final stage, but it's bound to Nuendo.
So let's pretend that it's the origina song and that we focus on the immersive experience with rocksolid bass that is offered..
    in highest fidelity.

    Pardon my last post.

I am now ONLY encoding in setting with 1 000 000 kbit/s TrueHD on my RTX2080Ti before sending to the Mixlr app directly.

Please have an experience : www.ö.fm

Hehe, I feel you. I am not kidding though, I put it on 1mill kbit/s TrueHD and it drops frames, but works.
