Positively a 1932 Gibson L7, all the Marx bros played musical instruments, I owned all 13 of their films on VHS and then on DVD , I loved their humour.

Yep, I was really about to mention Ralph Towner, but the idea dissipated..

Also Antonio Forcione, a great Italian guitarist not even the Italians know about lol

He can be technical and tappy like this:

But his goal is more the music, doing wonderful music, and it is!

Met him less than a month ago after a concert. Great guy and phenomenal, PHENOMENAL guitarist... OMG can't believe what he has done with his guitar! I have seen hundreds of concerts but on acoustic/jazzy fingerstyle he's on top, really...

or Merle Travis who influenced Atkins. It's all Subjective.

    • Heitor Villa-Lobos (right-hand 4 finger arpeggiation technique)
    • Aníbal Augusto Sardinha ("Garoto")
    • Horondino José da Silva ("Dino 7 cordas")
    • Raphael Rabello - encompasses all the above mentioned: flawless musicianship, technical consistency/precision and improvisational abilities... a mastery benchmark yet to be reached (i.m.l.s.o.)

You guys obviously don't know anything about guitars.
If these guys are so influential how come no one ever heard about them?

Here's the single most influential guitarist of all times: DJ Khaled (and his bob marley guitar)

I would add Steve Howe. Was he the equal of a lot of guys on that list? Probably not, but his technique was pretty good and he exposed a generation of rock players to non-blues based playing styles. He was a gateway to guitar history and probably led players to check out guys like Django. So influential? Hugely.
