Does anyone around here knows (and HAVE) the plugins made by Tonecarver? I'm searching especifically for tcArpGen and Mbiragen: exotic and original arpeggiators & sequencers. They look and "sound" amazing but, unfortunately all original links are down at the developer homepage. I'm hoping some generous soul around here might help a brother out! :)

For anyone interested, this is the link for the developer's page: https://tonecarver.wordpress.com/

I found MbiraGen on a polish file storing site. I downloaded it and reuploaded it to zippyshare, so here's that link.

    https://www32.zippyshare.com/v/ENweOvWg/file.html

    No luck with tcArpGen.
I tried searching tcArpGen_v01b.zip, and tcArpGen_v01a.zip but just the dead dropbox links come up.

There are a few comments on youtube about that program. I'd try send those guys messages and maybe one of them would still have it.

Mbiragen is working wonderfully on FL Studio 20. (This "arp" is truly a wonderful tool for composing generative music).
The search for ArpGen goes on! :shalom:
    Thanks again, Friggy

    MbiraGen by ToneCarver

MbiraGen is a semi-generative sequencer plugin that produces MIDI notes.

It is based on a sequence of up to 12 “melodies”. Each melody can have up to 4 variations which are selected round-robin. A Melody is a 5×4 grid where the vertical direction indicates note pitch and the horizontal direction indicates time.

Pitches are assigned based on a combination of settings: the tonic note, the scale, the mode, the interval assigned to the melody, and the individual scale degrees represented by the vertical positions in a melody.

In addition to the melody sequencer there is a velocity sequencer, controls for sync time, note length, velocity jitter, note length jitter, and 2 additional sequencers that can apply variations to the melodies as they are being played. These variations provide the drift and randomness that keeps the pattern from feeling too repetitive.

Free tcArpGen Algorithmic Arpeggiator VST Plugin (BETA)

ToneCarver has released a beta version of tcArpGen, a forthcoming freeware algorithmic arpeggiator VST plugin for Windows.

The plugin seems great on paper, however the current beta version doesn’t work for me, unfortunately. When loading the 64-bit version of tcArpGen in MuLab, I’m getting a blank back panel without any UI elements. That’s quite unfortunate since I was really looking forward to testing the plugin this evening. If the current version works for you, though, please leave a comment below letting me know what you think about it.

ToneCarver is the developer behind tcStretch, one of the best freeware time stretching plugins currently on offer, so there’s little doubt for me that tcArpGen will be yet another great tool once the bugs are ironed out. According to the info available on KVR Audio, tcArpGen is an algorithmic arpeggiator which, unlike a normal arpeggiator, uses a set of rules to determine the order of the notes and the direction in which they are being played.

Judging by the screenshots, the plugin will feature a snap to scale option, time settings, swing, and loads of other handy features. Needless to say, this looks like it will be loads of fun to use, and I’m really looking forward to testing the plugin in my DAW.

And that’s pretty much it. I wish I could give you a more in-depth review at this point, but the current beta version simply isn’t working for me. I’m looking forward to hearing your opinion about the plugin in the comments section.

UPDATE: Sorry about the confusion everyone and thanks for explaining the installation procedure in the comments! I’ll install the plugin properly this afternoon and give it a try.

tcArpGen is available for free download (1.47 MB download size, ZIP archive, 32-bit & 64-bit VST plugin format for Windows).
