Right, it uses way less here but still more than comparable plugins. Misunderstanding?

Ok, but how is it a CPU hog then? Misunderstanding, I guess?

Not a bad plugin, but was not ready for prime time. To correct the graphics issue they removed the resizable GUI for Windows. OK, was an easy fix for "Kit plugin" developers. Let's see what they do next. The phase/frequency of this is "interesting" and can offer a quick solution of "do I like it" or not. Hopefully they'll get their act together for further releases. John McBride has no knowledge of plugin technology so he licensed his Neve to Kit.

I don't get the problem. No matter if it uses 100% on one system, 10 or 1% on another, it uses more than comparable plugins. That's at least what I call a CPU hog.
It has, for instance, the CPU load of two TDR Nova with all eight band in dynamic mode. And Nova itself is a CPU hog among dyn EQs.

Bad comparison... apples and pears. How does it compare to the E27, workload-wise?

Why? Nova is free so everyone can compare himself.
    I don't use E27, CPU hog.
I can offer a comparison to Millennia NSEQ-2. BB N105 needs a bit more than fivetimes NSEQ-2. Is that's closer? :winker:

Because nova is a different beast - no saturation circuits etc.
I would compare it to an EQ that at least offers similar features. Maybe when I get back home I'll do that on my office computer and compare it to some similar EQs. CPU consumption on my studio horse would probably be a poorly transferable comparison.
