Hi,i have latest bob dule release of kontakt,i have spectrum in folder with kontakt nki file.
when i go to files in kontakt i can locate the spectrum folder,but the nki file dosent show,even though it is in the folder.
any clues?
i take it this is the only way to load spectrum,locate the nki file within kontakt and drag it to the right of kontakt?

If it isn't seen by Kontakt, it isn't a .nki...
Some Wave Alchemy (I don't have this one) do need to be added as a library first. edit: Okay, this one doesn't have a .nicnt; so we know it's not an add library problem.
But either way, you/Kontakt should still be able to see the .nki.
Something very wrong there.
I reckon the torrent didn't complete properly, and the .nki is borked somehow!
Redo just for the .nki. Reload the torrent file and untick all the samples you have and just do the .nki again.
The .nicnt and .nki files are usually the last to be downloaded in a torrent.
Sometimes doesn't happen perfectly.

Where did you obtain it from please?
If not the tracker, can't help you...

Incidentally, one has to place the snapshots where they are expected to be, or do the usual 'spanner' thing and add them so Kontakt knows where they are.
Possibly this may be your problem.
From the tracker:
"In the User Content folder, create a Kontakt folder and place the Spectrum folder there, in which the Bass, Keys, Leads, etc. folders are in it. the size of 14.4 MB."
But easier imo to do the spanner thing...

Huge, HUGE apologies!
The tracker didn't reveal the .nki when clicking on Files because there are so many blooming files to this lib! I was baffled!
So I started to download it to find out, and of course there is the .nki!

So please try and do as I said, and just re-download the .nki
Because if Kontakt doesn't like it, it must be corrupted/incomplete.

Interesting...I don't think you did actually! lol. Wrong 'sister site'. Spectrum was DMCA'd and taken down in 2016.
So it's impossible you got it from the sister site.

Okay everybody.
Once again this must be the RAS2/RAS3 thing with new Kontakt now.
Although there is no .nicnt, so I'm still unsure...! lol

But OP hasn't confirmed if it was a legit download or not, so we may be wasting our time here...
