Is a little too monotonous - you always wait for the piece to start. Maybe a snare drum with it?

Sounds unfinished. Needs more transitioning with additional elements (maybe inside 4 bars sections).
Try shortening sections to 2 or 4 bars for a different feel.

You have to attune to the flow of the journey.
If you were waiting for the piece to start, I suggest meditation for just 5 mins a day.
You need to be neutral when listening to music.
You aren't, it's obvious to me.
Same with listening without filters to a person talk, or second guessing what you think they will say or are meaning.
Or watching a film and deciding you know what will happen.
None of these things are yourself being in the moment and enjoying the journey somebody else has made for you and would like you to experience as they intended.

@ExBen You do you. It already has character because of what you aren't doing! ie. you aren't doing present-day risers, and over-pumpy sidechain on sub groups, etc.
    Great!
Reminds me of why I still like to chill out to a certain Positiva Ambient Collection 1993!
Although the genre is different, many types of beat could feature in Ambient.
Personally, I loved the journey of your piece!
And I think the rhythmic aspects drive/groove well.
    Thank you.
    Best of luck.

    edit:
    Thought.
Do a 'mix' with unintelligible* verby/delay vox, growing throughout the song.
*Create an interest for the member above! lol À la Underworld type craziness. Or Mark E Smith.
Do just one breakdown without drums.
Do a classic 16 beat snare 'fill', automate ramp in volume; whack all back in!

I lost interest after 2:16 when that over boomy bass drum kicked in.
Apart from that, the track would benefit from some additional automation. There are too many sounds all competing for attention at the same time. Gradually filtering each in and out would make it more interesting.

In context of the whole journey, I disagree.
And in fact the member does automate stuff up and outwards as the track progresses.
Of course, a lot of that happens in the final third. Much like a film.
Not sure you listened to it as a whole.
I think the journey was perfect for the genre.

I agree with you. The overly booming kick came in at 2:16. I could see from the waveform that remained in place for the rest of the track so why put my ears through un-necessary discomfort?

when that incessant siren-ish sound kicked in i wanted to stop then, but tried to hang in for a while. i gave up at 2:48. i have to agree with those who said it sounds incomplete and repetitive. i kept waiting for something interesting to happen. maybe that happened at 2:49, but i'll never know.

Because you were not correct to assume. You missed the whole reveal.
And turn it down if it's uncomfortable.
    I think that's sad.
This attitude, of choosing how to appreciate a medium even though it's an incorrect way, is what you condone for when people listen to your stuff.

To me, it sounds like you both were expecting or wanting it to be something that it is not.
If either of you had listened to all of it as intended, you would have seen.
You cannot pass judgement on something if you haven't actually experienced it.
By your own admission, you just aren't patient enough to suspend your mind and listen objectively.

The topic is: Is This Production Good?
    Yes.
Maybe as a pre-master. Could do with a few eq tweaks maybe.
This mix is good enough to be mastered I reckon.

Love it. I've only listened on a small mono speaker and I loved it. (And yes this little speaker can suck the life out of most music so that's a BIG thumbs up for your production skills), I'll be playing this again on a better setup. Reminded me of a lot of stuff I listened to back in the 90s and early 00 (underworld and Orb kind of thing).

Uh, maybe come back to the thread question.
And no disrespect, but you seek to change the genre, or rather just this track, by saying what you do!
As do the people that agree with you.
    Thus proving my earlier points!
And all whilst you can't be arsed to listen to it as a whole!
Not only have you not answered your pro/am pov to the thread question, you think you know a genre enough to just change it! lol
Just try and listen to the track, please!
Now it's not just the music you are trying to negate and stretch into your version!
It's the thread too! haha

The OP asked was the production good and then clarified that with "Is this sound sucks or good".

I return to my original point. The sound was OK until 2:16 and then it wasn't. Why should I have to turn the volume down?
I wasn't making comment on the arrangement in terms of it fitting a specific genre.
My other opinion on the production is that too many different elements were competing for attention at the same time. I'm not talking about sounds competing in the same EQ frequency. I'm talking about most of the sounds playing throughout the track all at once without any apart from the bass drum getting a brief respite.

A really unimaginative production. I can't get anything out of the song, nor does it help to get involved.

It's techno (?) after all, so I guess the very repetitive nature is intended? A lot of the elements are basically 1 bar loops repeating over and over again, for my personal taste that's a bit too monotonous, but I'm not a techno guy.

You basically repeat one element, then more repetitive elements are added, then some of the earlier repetitive elements are taken out. But there is not really much going on in expanding the composition itself beyond these 1 bar loops. What I'm also missing: pauses / breaks, a sudden change or anything that takes me out of the monotony.

Rhythmically I'm missing an element that takes the track beyond it's very static 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 pattern, there is no swing / groove / polyrhythm, but then again that seems to be typical of most techno genres. I guess it's sufficient for people who have no sense of rhythm.

In terms of sound quality: it sounds a bit too muddy / muffled to me, as if there is no clear distinction / prioritization which elements are supposed to stand out. At some point there are too many elements playing simultaneously in similar frequency ranges. I would prioritize the drums any maybe the main melodic element, and push the rest to the back or side. Speaking of side, is it supposed to sound extremely mono / narrow?

Be it Techno, Ambient Techno, or Fish 'n' Chips, it doesn't matter to any of you and from my pov it seems as if nobody here has got their neutral, producer head on.
Is not of the genre. Are you listening neutrally?
Thats one of the good points!, very authentic, but also you have got it a bit wrong in analysis.
"Supposed to", to you, yeah! Stange question.
Do you not trust the creator that they chose this? If so, why not?
    Do you know the genre?

    Are you his agent?
I think you have to accept that in this life there are people who would pay to to a Celine Dion concert, and there are those who would rather be punched in the face than be forced to listen to her music.

Agreed. But what if you were in A&R, or were scouting for tracks for her? What then?
One has to grow beyond this initial subjective pov of other's creations.
We were asked to comment on the track in a specific way; this involved being neutral, AS members!
Giving writing advice, specifically in regards instrumentation, after the fact!, doesn't seem to be addressing the question in the OP of this finished track here...
