Well, we can only hope they did a better job than..
Star Wars, Alien (3/4 debatable, but from Prometheus it's crap), Terminator, Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones.. Blade Runner?

The only non direct sequels I liked and thought were quite on the spot are the Cube ones..

Not perfect, or as novel as the first ofc,
but at least they managed to bring nice ideas to the table,
and show it from interesting new angles without completely screwing the thing..

I will always be awaiting more sequels of that one

I saw the first Matrix back in the day together with my first mushroom trip now let those thoughts sink in for a few sec (yes, it was epic!)

About the new one, saw the trailer in the cinema before watching Dune, and yes I'm excited

About Dark City, that movie is absolutely amazing, including the music from Trevor Jones!

Indeed, amazing Scfi/Fantasy flick.
And the only time Rufus Sewell doesn't play the bad guy.

 

I think the new Blade Runner is great! Have seen it 3 times in the cinema. Mad Max, too.

 

A mix between Mexican (Psilocybe cubensis) and Hawaiian (Copelandia cyanescens) with tea. In following years we also had a chocolate mix for an extra strengthening effect due to some ingredients, and because it was easier to consume. Last time I did it was around 2007 I think, just before it became illegal in Holland (because foreigners jumped out of windows or from bridges in Amsterdam). After that only one time truffles in 2012.
Haha eventually. Well, the fun part was also having those philosophical conversations afterwards, but is was an amazing experience at that time with the best choice of movie. During one of the other times we watched Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom but when they started to eat monkey brains it went a bit too far for some haha so we switched to Ice Age
But the movie we watched several times was (of course) Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas.

After it was mentioned here I watched it again yesterday (the DC version, without the spoken narrative in the beginning) and it's still a fantastic picture.

 

Just wanted to mention that AT&T owns WarnerMedia who owns HBO, thus there is no partner ship or licensing, its THEIR platform.

Similar to how Vanguard/Blackrock and others own Disney who owns ABC, Marvel and others.

Also, I don't see why if Agent Smith (the fictitious imaginary program ->not person and not real even if it was a person) was female, how that in and of itself would be a problem... LOL you old white guys are funny

I for one am also of the frame of mind that Lana isn't in it for the cash grab and genuinely wants to reinvigorate the franchise. I just wish covid didn't prevent us from having Keanu Day, as Matrix 4 and John Wick 4 were originally scheduled to be released on the same day which would have been amazing.

 

That sort of thing makes my dick feel like your profile picture when I go to take a piss but I forgot if I already pissed or I'm still waiting for it. So I don't know how long I've been standing there in front of the toilet just bewildered by the dark side of my dick so much that piss became just an afterthought that come visit every once in a while.

Until someone bangs on the door and asks me if I'm alright and I suddenly piss all the way up my own T-Shirt out of unexpected fear and remember my question because I've suddenly found the answer.

 

Definitely watch the DC version! The theatrical version spoils too much already in the beginning.

It's EPIC on the big screen but be aware that it's only part 1 (although part 2 and possible 3 aren't 100% sure yet), the Lynch version covers 'everything' in one. I really liked the score from Toto and Brian Eno btw > the main title and prophecy theme are amazing.

 

Well, without spoiling anything of course, I would've prefer one movie this time also. I understand it, if they want to cover as much source material as possible, but still (never read the books btw, they seem pretty complicated). I don't think that such Sci-Fi movies are for everyone, same goes for the Matrix thrilogy, although they're more mainstream and action packed. So #4 will probably be a hit once again.

 

There's always exceptions to the rule. I mean, it could be even possible there's some movie in which Sean Bean's character doesn't die

Back in early 00s my friend slowly became a multi-millionaire selling the truffle kits online and flooding Britain with them, and then cubensis and salvia and blue lotus.
