Is it better to buy latest intel Mac than M1 to ensure that you can use cracked plugins?

 

M1 is way better than intel, and the more popular plugins and daws are updated to work with M1, those updates are avaliable on the sister site so i think i would buy an M1 Mac if i was you

 

In my experience, 90% of the issues with cracked plugins are caused by Big Sur requiring signed apps and not necessarily the M1 architecture.

Most can be resolved by disabling Gatekeeper all together.

 

good question, I'd say yes Intel would be better choice as of today, but it's questionable which Intel Mac is worth buying nowadays - in my opinion none, definitely not full price new Mac, and speaking of older models, you get noticeably inferior performance, so in that case better go hackintosh route, AND eventually buy next-gen Apple Silicon Mac later in year or two, when softwares work properly, regardless of being legit or cracked
