So I own legit copies of all the NI stuff and just upgraded to Maschine 2.0.2 (legit copy). I am having a issue with Maschine 2 on OSX Mavericks (Maschine 2 is running smoothly on my Win 7 machine). On OSX I am getting a "Load Plug-in" error, "could not load 1 or more plugins" when I try to load any of the presets of NI's instruments or effects from the browser. Loading the AU from the sound module works just fine. All of the plugins have been updated for use in maschine 2 so it's not that. I do need to note that I did not install any of the VST plugs as I only use AU. Is it possible that this is the issue, Maschine uses the VST plug to load presets from the browser? seems to be the case. Before I re-download all 1,000,000 NI updates to install the vst's I am wondering if it's possible to point Maschine to use the AU. Any suggestions, clarifications? Thanks

Thanks for responding. As stated already in my original post they are all updated, so that is not the issue.

Just to clarify, I believe my conclusion is correct, the browser loads presets using the VST plug and does not use the AU. I am trying to avoid from having to install the VST as I really only want the AU. The work around I am looking for is to have Maschine use the AU for loading the browser presets instead of the VST. If anyone knows if this is possible please advise, Thanks.

When you bring up the Maschine Pref window for Plugins.
There is a box you can click for native instruments AU.

However If you have the same plugins in VST it will scan all the plugs.

You should be fine after that.

Yea already tried that, that does not solve the problem. All that does is allow you to load AU within the sound module, not access the presets from the browser. Thanks for the reply.

SO I finally got a response back from customer service at NI. They confirmed that Maschine 2's browser presets will only work with NI VSTs and that the VSTs need to be installed in order to use the preset browser. The browser is unable to use AU's to load presets but can be loaded as a plugin in the control area through the sound module. Its not a big deal but I hate having to have 2 copies of plugins taking up space, this was never a issue with Maschine 1.8, I never needed VSTs installed AUs worked just fine right out of the browser. Looks like I will have to re-download all the updates just to get the VST installed. Bummer. Thanks for trying to help guys.

I had the same problem. I had to completely reinstall maschine 2.0. The guy at NI was a dick and didn't know what to do. I got everything working except that the maschine default library is under user instead of NI and I don't know how to fix it
