    seeing AMD cpu's are available that are like 40 x the speed of most computers, wouldnt it be better to just get a fast amd cpu system and be done with it?
    i did the soundgrid thing for a while and it was messy.. i gave up

    depends what you want,
    for "offline" Audio Gridder or Vienna Ensemble Pro, you can pick "Source" as Host-Only - that way it won't get internet, but will get access from your Parallels Mac
    for "online" Audio Gridder or Vienna Ensemble Pro, you can pick "Source" as Bridged Network: Ethernet - that way the virtual machine will have internet access as if it was a separate computer on your network

    AMD processors are barely any faster, they just have more cores which is not what almost-realtime audio stack needs to provide low-latency crackle-free operation

    that worked!!! thx a lot!!!:) there is only one thing... i cant get to view the actual plugin interface ... i can see the paramenters like slides, i can tweak them from logic but i dont see the plugin itself, not even in parallels.. what am i doing wrong ?
    also what do i need to make it work with external old macs ? i have an old macmini, an old imac and a macpro 3,1 8core(from 2008)
    this is what we use in the house for the internet ... am i able to connect the macs through this?
    i guess first thing is a usb/ethernet converter for my macbook
    thanks so much you ve been super helpful! so happy to have started this post!!! :)

    Hi -no im not talking about waves soundgridder—-im talking about audiogridder—-i have the audiogridder server and the audio gridder plugin both working on my music computer—-along with my plugins—using the ram from a lenove mini comp. connected with a network cable. Working in cubase pro v.11–this setup is one of two ways you can use the audiogridder—peace

    do you have Parallels Tools installed in your Windows guest OS ?
    I think AudioGridder captures frame of the plugin GUI, so it needs properly functional virtual machine for sure;
    and about the question, AudioGridder plugin will "listen" to all running AudioGridder servers in your home/local network, so I don't see a reason your older Macs shouldn't work
    :wink:

    Hi, could anybody please confirm ... in order to get this to work on a macbook internally you need Parallels and Parallels Toolbox ? ( this is to use windows plugins)
    Anybody know where to find a key for it ?
    thx

    Hi all! I have installed the AudioGridder server in my Parallels Windows VM and the plugin in my Mac OS X Catalina, all is fine, except for the softube plugins, they are in the blacklist. I've tried to install Visual C++ and also uninstall the softube plugins, erase the AG server cache and cfg as well but they still in the blacklist, if anyone have a solution I will be very grateful...
