If you're on the hunt for a budget router with VPN support and service, you've got a few options to consider. Brands like TP-Link, Asus, and Netgear offer routers that are budget-friendly and support VPNs.

 

It depends on what vpn you're going to use. My vpn is always on, full site, and I run a firmware for the vpn on the router itself. Choosing a vpn service that has their own router firmware is key. You'll need a decently powered router for that application like a GL AX-1800 or Asus. I recommend choosing a VPN that has decent router firmware that can run at speed - openvpn works ok which is universally supported by just about every vpn out there, but it is slow compared to the newer ultra secure vpn protocols like lightwave etc... Check your choice of vpn service carefully and see what their log collection policy is... And stay away from NordVPN - they log your shit and will comply with requests to turn over that data. There's no point in any vpn that does that. You'll want a service that runs servers in RAM only and where log collection is vaporware. No logs means nothing exists to ever violate your privacy. Beware of so-called "budget" vpn's - you might pay less but you get less in the long run. "Less" in a vpn is not a good thing.
