I figured out how to use the newest splash screen in 12.5, which files to replace, if anyone is interested, still haven't figured out the dark theme, but did get the splash working properly

 

"WARNING" Unless you are experienced with copying and pasting files, I wouldn't attempt this

 

you will need to copy these files from a newer version which you can get from avid's website and paste them in your program files 64, pro tools directory, I would backup the originals first, and overwrite them

 

I don't see a problem in providing the files needed to replace with the updaded slash screen so people know if they wanna go with it or not...

about the dark theme, has no one offered to help yet?

 

I haven't really had time to mess with it, I think it's hardcoded into the executable, so unless it's cracked, it's probably not going to be possible in 12.5, I don't know if I'm allowed to post download links here, I already had a version of 2020 that I downloaded from Avid's site

 

Anyone who wants the files can PM me for the link to them, I won't post it on here, I think direct links are a no no, someone correct me if I'm wrong

yeah bro, no warez no problem... and about the dark theme i think it has something to do with the exe file, because on newer versions it is an option to choose

 

Well, I'm still waiting on R2R to come through for us using the PT......keeping my fingers crossed

 

Showing you more screen shots won't help you out a bit, to get this to work you have to be familiar with file structure and dealing with files and folders, hidden files and folders included, I put a warning on it....

 

The dark theme had already been tested and it worked quite well. The only problem is that it was not displaying the color of the text correctly.

 

Yeah, I was one of the first to discover you could use it in 12.5 by swapping files, I never have figured out how to change text colors, I think that part is tied to the executable, in which case we'll have to wait on a newer version to be cracked to fully enjoy the dark theme

 

Hi Joe, how are you? can you do a tutorial using screenshots of how to make the pt 12.5 get into the dark theme? I already downloaded the pro tools installer with alot of folders from the avid site, I would be thankful <3
