Only if you are a blind person.
Most of us use eyes, anyway.
Things like ergonomics and visual inspiration are very important. At least to me.
(That's why I never wanted to even touch Reaper - because it is so ugly by default - until I learned it is skinnable.)

Fl used to have skins and there have been rumors that nobody can really confirm floating around saying they have plans to bring that back but I sort of doubt it at this point.

I hope YOU remember the topic of this thread. :) We discuss visual aesthetics, and you suddenly state that it is not important, because "music is made with your ears not your eyes".

I quite like my version of reaper too. I've always prefered clean and slick themes so I'm pretty happy about this one.

LOL, i love FL's interface and everything about it. For me its the best. Why is FL Studio getting so much hate from the majority? LOL, so silly, especially when people try to blame FL for their inability to make good music with it, saying its an inferior DAW etc. Complete nonsense. Nothing inferior about FL compared to other DAWs. I love FL, for me its the best, workflow-wise, as well as visually. Especially FL 20 looks so damn pretty, whats wrong with you people? Less judging equals better creativity. Literally no DAW is better than another DAW. Everything in existence has pros and cons, nature itself teaches you this great lesson, therefor judgement and comparing becomes a waste of time. Its not the machine, its the mind operating the machine that matters. Some of the greatest hits have been created with the most shitty tools. It does not matter what you use, its all about mastering that which you decided to use. For me, its FL Studio 4 Life baby :bleh::yes:

    Dear @Piszpunta ... I repeat:

aesthetically pleasing <--- if you´re blind I guess you dont give a damn?!?

In my world (forgive me if im wrong) a DAW is a tool for making music, noise whatever.

An aesthetically pleasing DAW: My DAW is a tool and not a piece of art, just a tool.

Jeee man..The whole point of this thread is about aesthetics. Nobody said if this is important or not. Just purely looks.
How is your comment contribute or even connected to this subject?

Back in the day I thought Arturia Storm looked pretty cool just because it looked like a mix between Cubase and Reason:

As far as modern aesthetics go, its not exactly a daw but I love the look and feel of Polyend Tracker's GUI. I kinda have a boner for Excel spreadsheets. Clean basic and uncluttered ❤️

i back you almost fully, its all bout your skill and mastering your workplace, i never compared any workflow shit - we are talking about interface design, not which daw is better, look at the topic of this thread . - for me fl is the most intuitive and straight up thats why i use it, but its design, which you are right - is clear , but i dont find it any way artistic you know.. like not at all . they dont want to hit a market like this, whereas reason would have a bunch of little artsy design bits like the duct-taped little paper with name of the instrument with a graffiti type fonts or kong drum sampler is a really spot on old mpc look with graphics that have shades and shit and etc. theyre more loose about design like this and fl is not at all, and not even willing to.

I heard rumors saying that it will be the successor synth for ANA 2 from Sonic Academy. Hope R2R can crack this one :winker:
