Appreciated man. This theme looks very good. Clean and minimal.

Probably because most people are used to seeing the default skin which is really nowhere as good as the third-party skins which the developers should really consider emulating. Having great functionality is what some people look for but if it looks like crap it will deter a lot of people and it has. The icons they make look a little cartoony too. One version update they could fix that. Looking around the thrid-party loyal followers who made the skins, they could bundle it with some of the skins easily and have the startup one look less tacky. This is because a lot of the third-party skins are great and look more professional. The default skin doesn't.

Ableton Live looks for me like a surgeon software. Not for an eyecandy audio daw.
Also Native Instruments MassiveX is terrible!

I like Bitwig. Sorted, modern and a little bit eyecandy with focusing the usebility.

    Pro tools for me.
It's a pretty simple layout and it's easy to view/understand.

Although i haven't used it yet but the new 2021 version with the dark skin looks fantastic. And of course it can also be customized to fit one's taste.

Thank you for the links Frank.
I have to say this layout is by far the best looking mixer i have seen in any daw.
Coming from cubase pro, it looks amazing.
Loading addicitve drums 2 and acustica white3 i only get 2% cpu usage, whaaaat!!!
Will definitely be using Reaper for audio only stuff as well. Nice!
Also how easy it is changing the theme by drag and drop is insane.
    Steinberg, should hire these people.

hey It looks like Ableton only better!

Reaper, IMO, has the best Gui: NO GUI. you do it yourself, similar to Ableton using colors, or you can add incredible images of mixers and machines that have more routing possibilities and better level monitoring. You even have a clear cpu performance table and I'd estimate 60-80% more shit you can do than with Ableton as far as cpu goes. I think I could make more money selling Reaper to school kids than my music using Reaper, but that would be the same on Ableton.

    Hey,
This is a skin I made myself (actually on the basis on "Instrument 3" skin available on Reaper Stash, but adding tons of changes). My intention was to do something between Ableton Live and old Studio One (v2.5).
