    nah just use audiogridder server on a windows system and audiogridder plugin on your mac, if your systems and network are fasts enough you should only have a little bit of latency

    a 7 year old acer would not be a good idea although it was a pretty shitty acer i think, gonna try it on bootcamp on my imac and osx on my MBP, should prolly perform a whole lot better

    A plugin that makes bull shit taste sweeter and easier to swallow - can't think of a catchy name yet :dunno:

    2nd thought - scrap that - bad idea - couldn't sell it - clearly no demand - gets swallowed anyway - totally not necessary. :sad:

    Now, I read 40 pages ... Done! :guru:

    So, as a Audiowarez addict I also want to add SOMETHING to this topic ...

    :excl: :excl: :excl: Warez exists only to make your Warez Collection grow bigger. :excl: :excl: :excl:
    (FACT)

    Collecting Warez

    Collecting warez is like collecting coins.
    You don't play with it and you don't buy anything with it.
    You collect, categorize and store it.

    The warez collection.. You enjoy its existence,
    never try out anything, nor change or move it,
    but instead you compete with the others!

    And you know how It is with the boys.
    There is only one question that matters
    WHO HAS THE LARGEST ... :rofl:

    So thanks R2R :mates:for continue making our warez collections grow bigger and bigger.

    Collecting since 2000.
    Just LUV it. :wink:

    To make all the plugin releases run on Mac, just open them in TextEdit, and set the following flags:
    timebomb=0
    ilok=0
    encryption=decryption
    paid=1
    r2r4ever=1

    I know I'm very f'ing lazy, but just for the lols..

    Can somebody tell me what would be absolutely the best way,
    or the best CMD/Powershell Command to Force disabling "read only" attribute on a given set of folders?

    Yes you know what I'm talking about, the folder is:
    C:\Users\Public\Documents\Native Instruments\Native Access\RAS3

    In fact from "Native Instruments" all the subfolders/files are protected.

    And ofc it doesn't matter if I open Properties of the folder, and deselect "Read Only"..
    next time I open Properties it will show the change has Not been saved.

    Doesn't matter if I do "take ownsership" of the folders/files,
    or if I disable all antivirus/firewall protection..

    The change does not hold.

    And it's possible that's what's causing all the new NI plugs not to register properly here..
    I had no problems whatsoever with all the other stuff, but NI stuff doesn't work: Guitar Rig, FM8, Massive, Massive X, Absynth..

    The plugs install correctly,
    and the KyGns seem to be doing something, or complete the task, because they don't crash..

    However when I launch the plugins it reads: "Your Activation is Invalid", and launches as Demo.

    Which means there's an activation license somewhere, but it's invalid for some reason.. no?
    So maybe this strange folder protection could be the culprit?

    That's what I'm tryin' to determine..

    However I'm very foking lazy today as to decipher the internet,
    and determine 100% what's the best and most powerful PowerShell command/method to do it.

    Any PowerShell experts around? :wink:

    At first you'd probably get away with the takeown utility which takes ownership of files and directories.

    So
    Code:
    takeown /r /f "c:\users\plesus\"
    in a console as admin, or something similar.

    Powershell can be made to look for a certain permission and act on that, so if the previous don't work for you we have to dive a bit deeper. It's not hard though, just a bit messy.

    *edit:* Of course try this on a copy or dummy data first, and before attempting this on live data, backup.

    Thx for the input..

    Yes the command runs and says it's Succesful,
    pretty much like what the "take ownership" contextual menu option does..

    However there's no difference,
    the .jwt files are Not protected indeed, not in "read only" mode..

    It's the Folders that refuse to change, so I can't disable "read only" mode.

    KyGns still seems to work/do something tho, because they're not crashing,
    and again the plug will show the "Your Activation is Invalid" message..

    So I guess KyGn is doing something, yet not completely?
    (I'm on W7 btw..)

    Altogheter it's quite strange.. :yes:
    first time something like that happens.

    But well it's not really too crucial, as I still have older working releases of FM8, Absynth and Massive..

    But yeah, I surely wanted to try Guitar Rig 6 and Massive X in proper conditions.. :wink:

    I'm wondering if I even need to try Guitar Rig 6 at this point. I guess I should give it a fair shot because it can't be as bad as Bias Amp lol. I like what IK is doing with their all around guitar/bass suite so I might like GR6.

    Yeah, Windows permissions can be fucked sometimes. I'll take a look at PowerShell's features, basically it's a loop of "get me items with X permissions" and then running Set-Acl against that list.

    I'm not really a Guitar Rig fan,
    but it's good to have it, if only for comparison..

    I like Amplitube 4 for its Cabs,
    (the 5 sounds different/warmer?, they don't work as good with my Pod HD500, so I don't like it as much)

    And well there's been great advancements with all the Nembrini, Neural and even the Brainworx stuff..

    I haven't tried them all in depth, but so far:
    Neural - Corey Wong,
    Nembrini - Extacy, and the Marshall Brown Tone..
    Brainworx - Mesa Boogies

    Are the ones that stand out more for me.

    The Extacy is really really Impressive I think..
    granted it sounds like a Bogner, so it doesn't have too much Mids/it's not for everything,
    but it really Excels at being a.. Bogner. :headbang:

    BIAS is awesome in concept,
    and I guess properly adjusted it could be made to sound Great..

    But that's the problem, how many years do you have to adjust it?
    There's so much parameters one could spend weeks if not months just tweaking it,
    and still be pretty empty handed, because you're only scratching the surface.. lol

    Oh man that's right, me too! SLO is pretty good, but the Gojira plug ended up being most versatile for me after I fell in love with the Nameless suite.

    My boo now is Klirrton Grindstein. 90s Death Metal tones galore and it's discounted 50% at the moment. Those Bloodbath tones are ace! https://www.kvraudio.com/product/klirrton-grindstein-by-audiority

    yeah I played the SLO before, it is a little to brutal for me. The Nembrini stuff are pretty good, I only use the Bandmaster and AC30 though. I'm still using the shitty sounding Softube Plexi Super Lead as my go-to because it reminds me of my old loud shitty sounding SLP. Hopefully nobody will use that amp. ;)

    Heard good things about the Kristen Grindson pedal, will give it a go later after I'm done with the soul-searching. Need to focus.

    i've been comparing every software emulation/modeled of the big muff from electroharmonix for years now and none of them come close, amps and pedals seem to be nearly impossible to recreate imo but then again i'm not using it for it's intended purpose, no guitar in sight here.
