hi, how many of you already are trying win 11 out? are there any issues with software, plugins and DAW to worry about or do it work fine like in win 10, seems the release is october the 5th, im always worried about upgrading to a new os, i was on win 7 for ages and had to think hard about upgrading to win 10, i did and it was better than i expected, so do everything works on win 11 like it did with win 10, thx

Stick to your working system - wait until all errors in Windows 11 are fixed. It's just out and full of bugs.
At some point you will be updated as so compulsorily, be satisfied with Windows 10 and don't worry.

I'd wait until some months after the official release. Right now is a bit early, problems can be solved yet, others can come up at last min. I say wait a bit and check out the people's feedback then.

    You MUST upgrade immediately. :guru:

Ignore @Xupito - he is just trying to deprive you of these proven benefits and keep them all to himself.
I do not work for Microsoft.

Personally, I will wait until the Ghostmod version of W11 is available and that could take a quite good while. Well, W11 is too fresh and probably full of bugs anyway. When it gets nicely polished, in a year or so, then Ghostmod cut-down and optimised version becomes available, I'll try it. That doesn't mean I'm going to use it on my production computer. It's just for clients who want the "latest and greatest".

Currently I'm installing W10 LTSC 1909 Ghostmod version. Excellent W10 version, you can't believe how optimised it is, but I'll stick to W7 since it works perfectly for me as it is and I'm too lazy to spend a week installing a newer OS.

That's so true. In fact several Windows "modders" have started to use his method. I use his 20H2 version, works like a charm.

Microsoft screwed up with the taskbar (Win 11) now it is impossible to drag and drop anything through the taskbar, it does not allow you to open a window when you drag a file through the taskbar

I've been using W11 since about a month now, it's quite good, but maybe some specific thing might not work properly. Update if you know how to rollback, else wait until next year at least (most likely march release), when all possible bugs are fixed.

Ive been using it for a little while longer than NormieJoe and can concur that I havent come across these mistakes and bugs that people are experiencing. Protools is running flawless too. Ive only tested Superior, waves and slate installed on that machine. Nothing has given me a headache yet! *knock on wood*
