The 10K thing a little anti-climatic so far. (I'm only putting in words what most of you are thinking) But goes back to my earlier point, what is there out there that's significantly "gearslut" worthy that hasn't already been cracked? You can see from the sister site that Antares AVOX is the second most popular download. The Arturia release hasn't even made the top 5 because presumably most people are happy with the recent VR release. As Reason allows some of it's tools to be available via the Rack extensions, I installed it to see was there anything within the Reason "suite" that could add to my arsenal. The answer is no. The instruments and effects are largely the same ones that were there in the last cracked release from 10 years ago. Does Reason do anything significantly different to the other DAWs to warrant putting in the time and effort to migrate to it? I honestly can't see anything of note. I guess my point is... we have been massively spoilt previously. R2Rs latest efforts to remove the latest protection may be it's greatest and most proficient yet, but to it's fanbase, all that matters is which new toys are up for grabs.
The R2R team just wants us to evolve in the right direction, and not degrade ... the emphasis here is clearly on so far. The gong has not sounded yet and even though we are all impatient and can't wait for R2R to surprise us, the fact is only R2R can decide when the gong sounds! But i agree with you. if you didn't really want Reason it was very anti-climatic so far, but also only because it was just a teaser! Especially because of the long waiting time and the uncertainty when the gong sounds I can only agree with you. I had a lot on my wish list before the wave in the new year. Now only 3 things, which I also will not mention here (other people have already made a request on the sister page). So I am grateful to R2R and no matter what comes from them in the future or even if nothing comes at all. I can only agree with that as well. Some of the releases are unnecessary. If product v.12.8.0.1.14 was released, I do not have to get version 12.8.0.1.15 two weeks later. I would rather test things that I have not yet been able to test/have. and it seems that RET is now taking over the standard releases and R2R is taking on the more difficult challenges. This is much more interesting!
@keyone1a Yes, I understand you, I was just joking about something else, I like to dream ... And I am writing this here because suddenly R2R will take pity on me, and someday they will give me the tools ... I agree that they are safe, I am meaning is there a reason it was released first but hasn’t been a requirement for it yet.
well reason has an entirely different workflow to other daws in terms of routing and whatnot. It’s flexibility is great in that respect. in terms of audio editing and basic recording it’s probably not as streamlined or intuitive as other daws. It’s more of a creative tool, very powerful if you really utilise it. I wouldn’t be using it to record a straight up rock band though. plus now of course you can use it as a plug in with another DAW to get the best of both worlds. I do think the updates (or lack of) in terms of the stock instruments and effects in the past years is very underwhelming. I think that’s a big criticism of Reason. There’s some great rack extensions available now. I think if a lot of cracks of the rack extension become available, people will be more impressed with what Reason can do. it’s certainly not for everybody, but for what it can do, there’s nothing really like it.
haha nah there's no satisfaction, I just couldn't see anything other than her lips because they're so swollen it looks like they flipped her lips upside down in photoshop just to fuck with me.
lol i think they just wanna throw out the trash before dropping the big bombs! (not saying any R2R release is trash, just that they release a more simple and less anticipated software compared to what we are about to receive when the gong hits! )
yes there are some nice things, but was there something mentioned about the gong? have not looked at all the releases more closely and on upawg the new releases are not listed yet.
