I am using waves plugins in Studio one v4. When I save a studio one song (.song file) and send it to a friend the waves plugins have no settings and are all at 0. The sender and receiver are both using the same version of Studio one and Waves plugins. Waves Plugins from waves complete v2019-07-10 (specific version 10.0.0.16 Build E 142082) and Studio one v4.6.2.58729. Has anyone else had a similar problem or know any fix?

Spontaneously it occurs to me: Open your song and save the presets within the Waves plugins and send him the Waves presets. He then has to load the presets for each plugin. Or save it as a preset in Studio One - see picture and send it to him.

 

You should not have to do that and isn't really a solution. The other person does need to have the presets installed first, of course. By reloading any of the Plugin's presets, you are going to wipe out any changes done to them, from their default state's parameters.

Good workaround but would love to know why it is doing it as @clone said. Anyone else know what's going on?

 

He probably means you should save presets and send the presets to the other he should then install them and when you open the project on his PC, all parameters are there. Can I be wrong too ...!

 

So i recently got a new system and i had to reinstall everything . after that i opened a clients project that i did on S1 4 before i got the new system . now i use S1 5.4 (R2R version) opened it and all the waves plugins are on their default preset . all my settings are gone . but all the other plugins recalled exactly the same . before i upgraded to S1 4 i use to work on S1 3 and when i upgraded to 4 i didnt face this issue .
So i reinstalled S1 4 where i initially created and worked on the project , and still no recall
Anyone know why did this happen and if possible how to fix this?
the waves version that i am using is Waves.Complete.v2019.07.10.Incl.Emulator-R2R

well, is there any reason to why specifically a 2019 release?

its fairly old at this point compatibility wise, there have been alot of updates since, and Team RET provided us a wonderful Waves Complete release just a few months ago, that are up-to-date and working great.

your issue might be solved simply by updating to the latest version, so i would try to do that first..
to eliminate any bugs/compatibility issues perhaps with the new Studio One 5 release (mind you Studio One 5 wasnt out yet in 2019) and an old Waves release.

I'm on Windows 10 latest build, Studio One 5.4.0 from R2R and the latest Waves Complete release from RET and i have no recalling issues, even from older sessions

 

Looks like it's really a S1 v4 bug. The only/best solution seems to be to save and load multipresets. Of course, this will only work if S1 loads the parameters correctly at least once.

 

I got used to this so much when i was still on win7 that i haven't needed the reason to get the newer ones . Also because Waves releases are officially not supported on win7 anymore . I have their license but i still use the R2R version.

 

I did think of this, and i also remember that a stable crack was released recently but i mistook it for R2R's release and looked it up with their name on the search bar and didn't find the release so I thought that i must have seen wrong
