I dont know if im dumb or somenthing but i cant find the file *.R2RRECACHE that the cache builder from the sister site asks for, anyone knows how or where you can find that file?
Ive tried here but couldnt find anything

i think that file is in the rack extensions folder you dl, i might be wrong

 

These two addresses are symbolic DOS addresses (you need to type them in a command line window to reveal and access them)
(you can also click on the start menu > execute... and copy-paste them)

...But far more simple: in Explorer, these addresses point to:

C:\Users\YOUR NAME\AppData\Roaming\Propellerhead Software\RackExtensions

C:\Users\YOUR NAME\AppData\Roaming\Propellerhead Software\R2RRECACHE

(Replace YOUR NAME with your Windows login name)

I also tried to find the R2RRECACHE file but i dont know where or how to get it. Its pretty confusing...
I just wanted Reason to be able to use the pitch shifter called Ghammy, that is actually the best emulation with almost 0 latency in plugin format today.

If anyone knows how to do this, please tell us noobs, it would be grealty appreciated.

 

Its in the Rack Extention folder - for example when you download the Reason.RE.Synapse.Audio.Antidote.v1.2.8 the folder contains - com.synapseAudioSoftware.Antidote.1.2.8 folder and com.synapseAudioSoftware.Antidote.v1.2.8.R2RRECACHE
so you just put these in the folders
C:\Users\YOUR NAME\AppData\Roaming\Propellerhead Software\RackExtensions
&
C:\Users\YOUR NAME\AppData\Roaming\Propellerhead Software\R2RRECACHE
then RUN the TEAM R2R Reason Rack Extension Cache Builder.v1.0.0-R2R

I hope we get more rack extentions as, like my wife, I want a big rack

So I did this, the Cache builder app ran fine -- no error messages, it told me it had created the cache, etc. But I don't see the apps in Reason. Could it be because I'm running Reason 11? Where should I be looking for the apps?

Edit: OK, figured it out. The actual app files go into the Rack Extensions folder and the R2RRECACHE files go into the R2RRECACHE folder.

AHHHHHHHH so i am a dumb fuck... i need to wait for the R2R release of the extension i want first...
I was downloading the rack extension via the legit way. I thought it was way more difficult, but its easy.

 

I just realized that, i was trying to do that with the legit extensions i had

 

Well, they did say re: Reason: "ATM We don't have plan to release unless we have all extensions with lic." Sooo.. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

 

Hahaha yeah, i even tried downloading the legit version of Reason, installed the extension... Made the R2R "conversion" and what not...
Guess we need to wait, R2R is killing it!

How are you supposed to launch CM Waifu? I deleted the legit one since I didn't use any software relying on it besides reason 11.
Now when Iaunch reason 12, it's asking me my ids for login in and can't get pass that. Any ideas?

E: nevermind I got confused with the Legit to R2R files. You just have to install waifu and then reason 12 without doing anything and it works

Hello. I'm getting this error when trying to open the Reason Rack plugin in Cubase 11 Artist. Followed the instructions. Win10 x64

have you had the Reason demo or a version Installed previous to this R2R version?

I was having the same problem in studio one, So I had to uninstall reason and find every folder associated with a reason on my hard drive and delete them and do a full clean install a reason, then it worked fine. So I’m guessing it might have been because I never fully cleaned all the reason files of my computer before first time I installed the R2R version.

 

yes, scenario 1... we need R2Rs versions. the cache builder does build cache with 2 files: the actual RE file + the R2RRECACHE file.

we cannot simply generate the R2RRECACHE file from the RE.. this would be overkill coolness tho...

I copied the files to the appropriate folders, started RECacheBuilder ... everything went fine, but when I run Reason 12 it asks me for a username and password for additional rack extensions, is it normal for me to be asked to login or something went wrong???

 

Seone excuse me if I'm wrong, but I don't think k this actually comes with the actual extension packs, all the cache does is allow you to use em if you had it (which maybe they are still needing to release?)

I remember using suite 11 I bought and for all extensions had to download a couple gigs more worth of banks...there doesn't seem to be anything here for that...

You have the answer embedded in your question:

When you try to load NEW extentions Reason try to reach the Reason studio shop to download them. They are not included in the release.

So nothing wrong with your install ... you'll have to wait for R2R's extentions release (if we have chance)
