There is a lot of truth in what you are saying. Remember the choice aspect or the flip side of each coin each person tosses in their choices.
Any person can choose to play the victim or be determined not to be. Either does not mean we won't be affected by what goes on around us, but how we deal with it is the real choice. I have marched to the beat of my own drum my entire life with no regrets. In some areas it cost me things it did not others but now the others I knew then wish they didn't wait to become pensioners to do what they wanted from day one. For everything you gain you lose something and vice-versa. It's all perspective. You are spot on though, it beats the heck out of being a soldier in a war.

OMG Smoove. I walked away for two days. I had no idea.
But I'm laughing so hard. Even if unoriginal, this thread was hilarious!

It's good that you made the right decision.

Many young people grew up with the Internet and with the many technical devices and an oversupply of information, also known as the information overload or overstimulation. This generation will also have to make a choice. I hope that young people will find information and people that will enable them to make the right choice or, in other words, to take the right turn. The percentage will likely be the same as it is in our generation, with many asleep and few awake.

Took a while to understand for me that i can use standard drum machine samples for all genres. It just matters how they are processed and arranged. So it makes totally sense to brand your sample pack by a trending genre ...

I remember as all stuff was branded Dubstep, Tropical House, Trance, EDM and since a few years Trap and now finally Lo-Fi.

you see a TR707 sample pack and magically this is branded that it is good for Lo-Fi? Makes no sense to me, but yes thats how Marketing works these days. Add values to stuff, which is not super popular otherwise ...

Lo-fi is a very interesting style definition. Some people say it is based on the composer/producer choosing to have imperfections purposefully injected into the music. To anyone seeing it on the outside they'd think of it like Hi-fi and see it as low fidelity. The interesting part is it can also have low bit rate samples purposefully, so no wonder a lot of people got confused, myself initially too until I attempted to make some sense out of it.

EDIT: Another reason there has been debate on its definition is because it has been shown it cannot own imperfection as it's only defining aspect because the entire genre of jazz is completely based on imperfection with no tune ever sounding exactly the same twice no matter who performs it.
