Was convinced at the time the writers had to be on acid writing those scripts. Also thought the premise of Oliver, in a way, of being the proverbial sane person among people somewhat crazy and nonsensical, was always going around doing farm work in a three piece suit, heh.

Speaking of.... Saw a doc couple few months back about Gerry & Sylvia Anderson. IIRC, the studio building where all their puppets, sets, etc were housed was being repurposed and much of all that historical treasure wound up getting trashed. Travesty.

Fireball theme and outro with vocals always gave/gives me chills. And when the horns crescendo into the engines firing is fantastic. 50's-60's lounge space age pop goodness

Someone did a 'stereo enhanced' version, full lyrics. Whether it detracts or helps is debatable, heh.
