I have to give myself a Christmas present this year, been fiddling around with several DAWs (thanks to warez) for months now and I seem to keep going back to Ableton. Lots of support, widely used, feature-laden, and pretty solid as far as I can tell (I'm really just an occasional hobbyist in audio). Their 20% off sale may just help me decide!

Well I didn't intend to 'spam'. I just saw it on their website and got a little excited. Maybe there are others sitting on the fence like me and could use this information.

I've seen similar posts on other products.

What 'previous message' are you referring to? [edit] Ok, I see what you mean, my only other comment regarding Absynth and FM8, Komplete, etc.

Allright, I didn't realize that posting words to encourage others to actually buy stuff was taboo here. Sorry. I'll keep my emotions to myself. No worries. Thanks.

    No probs mate

it was these 2 things that made me think of possible spam.

1: I bought Komplete 9 Ultimate, what a big box of fun toys to play with, even though I haven't actually done anything with them yet

2: I'm really just an occasional hobbyist in audio

but like i said above no problems

I've done few better things than purchasing Ableton Live 9 Suite. I'm loving it! Just do it!

No, seriously, I'm glad I did buy it, I miss a couple features from Ye Olde Cubase 4, but it's been quite a smooth transition. If I need a 48 bit or 64 bit engine for a mix I always can go back to any friends real studio and let them do the real mixing and enjoy watching them work
