These three elements form the main components of modern music. If we remove them from modern music, there's nothing left but the straight line.




I don't know what's important about mixing these three elements that most music producers are very proud of.

1. Do you think mixing these three elements is a work of art?
2. What's so beautiful about mixing them that so many people in the world spending their time doing this?
3. What's the next option to replace LRN?

1-Could be. The less you focus on musical composition (i.e., relying heavily on loops or randomization) the more time and resources you can spend in other things, like sound design, which in my books is an artform on it's own. Not to mention looping can be pretty complicated if you want to.
2-On one side, it can be done pretty fast and easily, so it's less about beauty and more about convenience. But at the same time and as i said, it can also be pretty complex and interestnig if you want.
3-Why replace it? Why not improving it or doing something entirely different? Just let it be and die when it needs to.

btw i'm assuming you ment "mixing" as in using those three elements at the same time. If you ment mixing "the mixing process" then well...you mix what the client brings, not that you have much choice on it.

 

These are three limited elements. What human needs can be addressed by LRN?

You predict when this will happen? Sooner or later?

 

So, there is no notes, no scales, no time signatures, no counterpoints, no calls, no responses... in modern music? Just wiggling air?
What is an ostinato if not a loop?. What is a improvisation if not some form of human driven randomization?. What is noise at all? Pink? White? Brown? A meticulously crafted neuro bass that exicte your hearing and intelligence because there is nothing in nature that can provide such complexity in a sound?


Are you refering to every piece of mordern music created or just the ones you don´t like?

A pause is the best part of a song though. Nothing like the absence of music among the existence of it in my own opinion.
