Distortion for 303/Acid sound

    I'm sorry, but...
    I think that "the typically 303 sound" - is a Roland VS TB-303 and nothing more :wink:
    any other additional fxs can made "your unique tone" of 303 sound. and this hardware setup - is only your own choice :winker:

    P.S.
    my tip: forget about any hardware guitar pedals.
    buy multi fx hardware for electronic music production / live (korg kaoss pad, pineerdj rmx, etc...) :)

    I like a lot Redoptor 2 by D16 Group. But I think distortion is just like asses: each one has theirs...

    ..the TD-3 comes so close to the original TB 303 that one won't hear the difference, even less when beeing distorted. Just the the VCF Cutoff offset has to be trimmed. I have turned mine all the way to the left (down). Haptical they are identic. I have owned 2 original 303s, so i believe i can judge this.

    Eventide CrushStation is absolutely best in software distortion for all purposes. Try this.
