I remember when Sphere Comp was released that I read, or heard, somewhere that the developer behind Cymatic's The Glue was involved, or that they had copied code from The Glue or something like that. Might just be bullshit though!

I'd have no trouble believing cymatics people were involved in these plugs, they seem appropriately terrible for that to be true

 

When maybe you can see a couple of the plugins work alright with one eye but you also know you can't really see what the others are doing but you still speculate syncopation almost all the way to the grid with your little eye that spy a dropped piece of pie.



If punk bands don't have to watch which chord they're playing or hell even what key they're in then why should plugin companies make anything better than free or what comes with your host?

Look at trap music, they have sauce and they have mustard. Fuck Ketchup I guess. Sosiges taste better inhaled off the grill, fuck chewing. This dog has too much ass to sniff n greet later to justify even the initial bite cause time is money bitches.

WA - Wasted Ambitions

 

The earliest stuff like the Sphere Plugins were allright, if they kept that way, maybe they would be a kinda nice developer with affordable prices now... The newer plugins are mostly not really good, you can hear it in the factory presets. Mostly a really abrasive sound, which is only useable for some big room edm stuff, and even then it's often bad for your mixes. The KSHMR Plugin seems to have a slightly better quality, but I don't understand why KSHMR released this plugin with this (kinda shitty) brand. They're just not good. Their sample packs, too. If you listen to some of the construction kits... Often it sounds just like a track from a 15 year old FL Studio beginner, their construction kits are sooo bad, it's kinda embarassing.

So why is WA Production one of the most popular sample pack brands right now? I don't understand... The Quality isn't good. Something like Vengeance, and even Cymatics is miles ahead... I've never seen a famous producer who uses WA samples either, most of them still use Vengeance or Black Octopus Sound, Freshly Squeezed Samples (and sometimes Cymatics) or something like that. Who buys this kinda bad stuff, when you can find much better stuff easily?

I kinda like the ImPerfect Synth, but instead of making it better they just shit out a new plugin every week... Even a really huge company like Native Instruments works on they plugins or updates for years, most good developers do this. There must be a reason for this?

if your plug-ins are compared against osso buco in NYC then all is too late.

however i can hardly imagine these plug-ins are worse than the AO plug-ins. this guy has invented this business idea to put a nice GUI around 3 lines of faulty public domain code he does not even understand himself.

Soundspot is kinda similar, too. Really great looking gui, but the plugins are mostly not really great.

 

You have to feel sorry for WA though.

They request to have their "pride and joy" software removed from the sister site, and the general reaction is "meh.... they were too crap to download anyway".

The customer is always right.

 

My association of W.A. Production is rather King Oz plugins, just with more seducing GUI, but ten times more expensive.

 

Except for Halcyon.

Well, I actually own 3 plugins of them, the rest is, well... meh.
At least there are better ones out there.
And the only one of them I actually use in my productions is Dodge Pro, as you can sidechain different bands which is quite handy.

 

As a matter of fact, I can see WA Prod being kind of the new Analog Obsession.
Haven't tried them but, you know, after reading you guys giving them so much love...

 

That's an aweful low bar to try to get under, LOL.
