Right after i installed it, it totally messed up my computer. My desktop kept disappearing, computer freezing, rapid storage stopped working.
Had to do a system restore and reinstall chrome as well.
I have never experienced anything like this before.
Either its the plugin itself or a sloppy cracked software with something going on.

UPDATE.
So far we have had three people ( two others and me) confirming to have experienced the same issue as i did.
Could be the focusrite installer itself or the way v.r cracked it, idk.
Whatever it is it affects your visual c libraries, so just be aware it can do funny things to your computer.

ALSO, please read the whole thread before commenting as there are accusations i am the only one with this issue as this is simply not correct.
So far two more members have come forward with the same issue, in this thread.

I have been using cracked software for more than a decade, tried hundreds of plugins, but this is something else.
Computer started acting weird and froze right after it finished installing.

 

Wow.
It did show symptoms of a typical hijack.
There goes my trust for v.r stuff.

 

I have them installed since they were posted on sister site, and have no problem with them. They are working, no crash, no bugs, even with my not compatible openGL video card.

Where have you downloaded the release from?

Maybe you should check source, where you installer was downloaded

 

I also got it from the sister site and scanned the WinRar file with Windows Defender and he indicated with the "Win32 / Wacapew.C! ml"!

they are now faking warez releases to get people to download the focusrite software.

 

Thats why you always need an antivirus if youre using cracked stuff and you need to check the reputation of the site before downloading anything, i have the focusrite fast bundle from the sister site and i didnt have any problems

Honestly it looks like it just patches the plugins on-the-fly and then deletes the temporary files.

 

I dont remember where i got it, usually i get my stuff from the sister site or the russians. Never had problems with either, this is why it really took me by surprise.
It had all the typical symptoms of a hijack.
I installed a lot of vr plugins and never had a problem before.

 

In the details, it says that only 1 of the 70 antivirus found a malicious file => False positive.

Reading just the VT analysis is NOT the purpose of Hybrid Analysis.
Hybrid Analysis really analyse the file and attempts.
Note: some malware programmers hide their attempts by pause (sleep) their process for X minutes/hours to even trick such sandboxes.

 

It also touches files in Windows directory.
