There’s almost no cracked plug-ins for M1 Macs. But a lot of intel-Mac cracks.
Will intel-Mac cracks work on m1 Macs without Rosetta ? Will intel-Mac cracks work for Apple m1 plugins ?

"There’s almost no cracked plug-ins for M1 Macs. But a lot of intel-Mac cracks."

I'd like to believe that M1 macs are not YET that common with MOST of the people and the honourable cracking legends would like to crack awesome stuff for the machines's,ie., intel machines TILL M1 macs will be common enough so that they can concentrate on cracking stuff for M1 macs. We can't essentially presume and wonder, "Why don't they crack for both machines now?" cux thst'd be ridiculous given the time and efforts it takes to crack a secure plugin. Hoping somebody more knowledgeable about this fills more info about this. .

Most companies still dont support M1 (arm64 binaries) and dont have native builds for it, so thats a big reason why.
Other reason is either lack of resources to test the cracks (having a M1 mac available) or they just dont know or care to crack for it yet.

Once companies will actually have native arm64 binaries for their plugins - people will try to crack it.
CODESHiNE did a great job for example in her last FabFilter release, both intel and arm64 binaries are patched.

I also must add an optimistic note, that 'porting' a crack patch from intel binaries to arm64 is fairly easy most of the time, as the patch functions are the same, and the logic too, just a different implementation

I dont have a M1 Mac, that’s why I’m asking before buying. Currently I’m on windows 10 but wanna get MacBook for portability reasons.

( 50% of my plugins and libraries are legit, that I constantly use, but about 50% I’m trying out )

Even if certain plugin is not natively supported on M1. Is it possible to install the intel version and crack thru Rosetta ?

Yes, considering your DAW can run under rosetta, and its a new version of the plugin, not an old crack, as it should run on big sur and rosetta.

I would wait if i were you, new macs should be released by end of this year.

Also beware that running cracked software on mac these days is way more complicated than windows... codesigning, gatekeeper, dequarantining, and all that..

Though growing, there is still a relatively small amount of audio software that's been ported to ARM. However, the cracked Intel versions work just fine under Rosetta. If an app is Universal (Intel + M1), and is only cracked on the Intel side, you will have to force it to "Open using Rosetta" by checking the box with that name in the window that opens after Getting Info on the app. If it's a Universal plug-in that is only cracked on the Intel side, it's a little trickier, but still possible, by stripping the ARM code.

A simple example is the GigPerformer 4 app. It's a Universal app, but the crack was only on the Intel side. Just checking the "Open using Rosetta" box would work, but I went ahead and stripped the ARM code to save some drive space:
    In Terminal:
    sudo lipo -remove arm64 "/Applications/GigPerformer4.app/Contents/MacOS/GigPerformer4" -output "/Applications/GigPerformer4.app/Contents/MacOS/GigPerformer4"

true, however no other DAW can do that at the moment, so i wouldnt consider this as the base assumption / standard,
most other daws who support ARM cant have their plugin wrapper work with rosetta to port x86_64 binaries

Ever thought about that the people who do this need to buy M1 hardware to do all this stuff? Maybe you should have invested in the plugins you need first before buying a shiny M1 mac and expecting people to crack Apple Silicon plugins in an instant…

You're better off holding on to your current system till M1 macs are considerably common and Super talented crackers start cracking awesome stuff for M1 macs. Lots of confusions about running many plugins on M! given many companies have NOT YET made them natively compatible with M1 macs. Give it a while maybe till you're sure of the scene. Just my 2¢.

but there is also no point of getting an intel MacBook, because software that comes out now is not supported on older macOS
