Hello forum, I have a problem here. I need help to make this bass. It's kinda smooth and very clear, It sounds like a ballad bass or something like that, but I can't reach it. I need your advice to know which VST plugins I have to use to finally get it.
It's very used in CAPCOM games.

That is an electric bass guitar. Played with the fingers. It isn't even a particularly special make of bass guitar. It is probably the easiest, simplest bass guitar sound you will ever need to find. If you can't find it, I don't know where you're looking. Surely your DAW comes with a number of basses? I am sure one of those will do the job.

 

All right. Thank you Denny. You maybe noticed that I'm a beginner about this. I made some basses before that sounded electric, you know..
. just like that typical slap bass tone. However this time I was unable to reach this tone.

It's a little bit better than the old-school MIDI stuff,
but it's not a super realist library/vst kind of sound..

So I'd try something like the Edirol HyperCanvas, or Roland Canvas on the retro side,
or Korg Triton on the slightly more modern/better side..

It's possible some other Roland synths can have good/similar basses,
but I haven't used them so much, so I cannot enumerate.

 

Diva can be great for solid basic basses. But surely you could use EZbass or Trillian?

It is almost just a question of what Virtual Instruments you actually have available, and which you want to use.
