    AHHHHHHHH YESSSSS!!!!!

Thank you franknitty69! It freaking worked!

omg thanks so much that was bugging the SHIT out of me! :mates:

guess you can't copy and paste the code into terminal from notepad as that is why it wasn't working...

I use to flipping drag each of the millions of part files individually from each folder... have no idea how annoying that was.

    YEAH SCIENCE!!!! :break:

You my friend, get a cookie. WELL DESERVED!!!

Oh that's right it's only command line for Mac. I can't believe there isn't a single app that can do such basic functionality for archives.

i know...right? There are a bunch that advertise that they do, but none of them do it for this specific type of zip file.

Like i said, 98% of archives come out fine, with part files & rar in the same folder, easy peazy. I think some people just use weird programs to pack files...and they extract to individual folders.

I usually hate using command line as if you don't type stuff exactly right it fucks up, but anyway i'm glad theres a NATIVE solution for Mac that doesn't involve doing a bunch of bullshit on automator like This is the end was suggesting but i appreciate the effort in explaining your setup, automator can devinately be useful for repudiative tasks. It's also nice that i dont have to instal any adware garbage apps on my comp  im stoked.

    Thanks a lot everybody. :mates:

    Easy as 1+2

just download stuffit expander ( free )

    run it.

Go to options and set :

    expand in the same folder

    never create folder

    Assign all extensions to stuffit.

    Enjoy multi zip rar etc....

    Hi, Download unrarx: http://www.unrarx.com/
right click on your file's name and copy the name; right click outside and make new file folder; command-v to paste the name- now you have a folder with the name of the file you want to unrar; drag your file into the folder; once inside double click on your file to unrar. All the files will unrar into your folder.
    Alternatively use Better Zip:
Right click your file and drg it to the file of your choice. It will unzip/unrar seamlessly!
    Let me know!

Edited by Catalyst for obvious reasons. Read the rules.

Just use WinRAR with Crossover (Only MacIntel) and your issue is gone...!

Why bother using multiples softwares or even crossover, VMware and so on when there is a native solution working with all compressed files ?

    Check my post above.

There is a nice little program called "Entropy" which can handle all archive types and has an option to "never create folders".
