For a person to have observed this and made this, it would imply they haven't yet understood that in any trade people will try and stiff you.
I think I had a few experiences like this when I was 18, 30 years ago!, but you say no and make sure you have a written agreement with fee stated, and a cancellation fee too.
Never sell yourself short unless there is something else to gain from it.
I know that certain clubs in London still do the 'pay to play thing', where you have to buy tickets from them that you may never sell.
But this isn't the level you want to be at.
One's experience reflects one's own perception of one's self.

But I would have thought that the Daniella Westbrook situation is probably caused by the concrete/petrol etc involved in the shit stuff?
I thought his nose was due to all the surgery.
I actually knew the person who was supplying to Daniella and others in the music scene.
And I know of a television production house that gets a delivery of a large package of coke via dr everyday at 7am!

Same. I have actually had the real stuff, the good stuff, a few times with a very big name session musician who has been with many top 10 and #1 acts, so I knew it would be the best!
But I don't need that vibe at all.
It doesn't seem to do anything that special to me really.
Watched a few celebs go downhill on it, and some have died as a result.
I prefer substances that can teach, rather than numb. Something more shamanic, like bud or shrooms.
And I have gigged on mushrooms and speed once too.
It was great! I could see the notes coming!
And the video of that showcase gig was sent to Gary Katz and paved the way for other things! lol.
After 6 months of 9am until 6pm rehearsals, I have no bloody idea why someone produced a container of dried shrooms on the day of the showcase gig, or why we all thought it was a good idea to do some! Okay, minus the bass player.
So we were dabbing it and putting it in pipes from the soundcheck until stage time. lol.
Great gig though.
God, we were lucky! The things we do when we're young.

This is true.
I did a one-off gig with Elvis's backing singers, The Jordaniares.
It was benzos at first. And then the opiates made him very puffy.
Anyone who becomes big, or rather, signs the big deal, is always surrounded by vampiric gofers and dealers.
I saw it with my own eyes with Amy.
It's as if they would rather you die in a blaze of glory and create a legacy, and then they can control your work when you are gone.
My father used to get his hair cut in the west end at the same barbers that Mitch and Noel went to. (Not Jimi! lol)
It is fact that his manager said to the barber that Jimi is worth more to him dead than alive.
When we become a 'thing' like this in the world, it can get pretty dark, please believe me.
