Maybe the difference in size is because of the extraction of the samples to wave files, because those cd's usually have to be extracted with some other software such as Kontakt CDXtract or similar... Maybe there are much more cds than I unzipped to my samples folder...

 

they technically should not be linked directly. they are 99% or more "out of print back stock" type stuff. but the majority are actually scene releases of "what was" copywrited material. (mostly re-sampled others anyway!)

 

nah, the difference is you have one directory of the two.

 

I just want to mention that CyberYoukai's 90sSampeCDs contribution in Archive dot org is down due to a trivial thing (a couple of the Sample CDs turned out not to be as old or "forgotten" as previously thought lol), but some users are trying to bring it back:

the "Current curator" has apparently created 2 torrents with many, if not all the old ones and maybe some new old ones...
small torrent is 10 gb: 90ssamplecds_small.torrent
large torrent is 343 gb: 90ssamplecds.torrent

the large one will probably lag/freeze your client upon opening. just the torrent is 4mb, and not in error. just the html/text of the list lag browser page load time by seconds.

Regarding about that Freezone CD, I did manage to find it, but only in mp3 format. Since they're single instrument loops and sounds it's not too bad. I can share that as well.

I love some of this CD's It would be nice if there was an in between version without the not so good or too standard packs.
