So I have a project set up with a "Sidechain Feed" buss' output going directly into compressor's sidechain input on "Ducking" buss. Kick and snare are sent to that buss and there's an EQ on it.
When I render the project, SOne disables the inserts, namely the EQ, on Sidechain Feed, I assume because it doesn't get to the main output. How to stop it from doing that?

I currently sidestepped the issue by routing Sidechain Feed to my PDC buss, lowering the gain to -inf and pre-fader sending it back to sidechain input where it belongs, but I'm not satisfied with this "solution".

Disregard that, it doesn't work. Render gets stuck and goes forever without any indication of progress.
Tho routing the Sidechain Feed to the buss where the compressor is instead seem to work, but this just takes me back to a clumsy solution, albeit at least functional.

Yeah, routing the sidechain feed to the same buss your sidechain compressor is on, while lowering its volume to silence and pre-fader sending it to the comp's sidechain works. In this configuration, the inserts on sidechain feed aren't disabled and the mixdown process doesn't get stuck.
But it's clumsy, uuuuuuuuuhhhhh

So, the takeway is, SOne leaves something to be desired.

Meybe you know some functionality differences based on OS, I can't predict that.
