I've been looking for a somewhat specific drums, it's this almost dry very tight drums from the 70s and 80s, specially the snares. Any recommendation would be welcome, Kontakt Libraries, EZDrummer, Addictive Drums, even one shot wav samples.

Also, why is there so much Metal drum libraries, good lord.

Anyway, here's some examples of the sound:

Now, I know some of these doesn't really sound the same, but still, I feel like they share similar characteristics.

    Thanks

Have you checked out The Loop Loft – Dry Drums? I believe you can find the full collection on rutracker.

It's an unwritten rule that if you plug a guitar into a computer, you're only allowed to record metal. Same goes for drum software, i'm afraid. There are a few companies who have gone far underground to create instrument libraries for other genres, but I daren't mention their names in case the Kontakt Police show up.

All I will say is that Addictive Drums do a 70s style kit called Vintage Dry, but you didn't hear it from me, ok?

PastToFutureSamples is what you're looking for. Here are some previews of their products:

There was also a developer called AnyDayLong which also had these types of sounds as well, but sadly I think they have gone out of business recently as all of their product links are dead and all of their soundcloud previews were taken down as well.

I completely agree with you on Guitar software/modelers..
They're sure good for "chugga chugga", but for anything else.. they stink!

Very Uninspiring for a fusion guitarist like me,
who plays a lot of melodic leads/impro, but still likes the occasional semi-clean or clean playing/chords..
and who still expects to get some Mojo out of his gear/tone..!

It would take me a lifetime to describe how fake/uninspiring it all feels to me, but yeah I agree..

(Ofc I haven't tried the King, AXE-FX, so there's still hope, I guess..!
but in terms of Software it's pure meh.. good for Work as you can closely imitate any tone,
but it really feels like playing a damp rag..

Still they're slowly improving like the new Nembrini/Neural stuff which feels/sounds more realist than the previous generation,
but you know what I mean..)

    -However this is Drums topic.
In that sense, I don't agree at all, as there's a Myriad of Excellent drum kits/samples for each and every style imaginable,
naturally Classic Rock, but also lots of Jazz, Funk, Latin, Ethnic/World.. and what about Orchestra? that alone would be endless!

Everything is covered with excellence by proper Libraries, or plugs like BFD or EZ/SD and their Expansions etc..

So I don't see where you're coming from,
or if it was a joke and I simply misunderstood it!

[Ofc it's possible a real drummer will tell us it's just a fake imitation,
nothing like playing the real thing.. and I could agree with that.

But drum samples/software is mostly made for Producing/Composing, not for Live performance..
as it's just physically impossible to reproduce the mindblowingly amazing and expansive 3D sound some percussion have,
like just a mere Cymbal.. you would need infinite microphones/speakers to represent that.

So it's out of the realm of possibility (unless physically modelled by perfect maths?),
therefore it's more oriented at Production rather than live Performance..]

You can get that sound from any virtual drum vsti AD or BFD turn off the FX mix to taste, those linked examples have very different drum sounds BTW outside of being on dry side they aren't very much alike at all. Also they seem to have a lot snare string in the mix (bottom mic) and very subtle use of compression.

    Good luck.
