Ululation? It's a very common thing and somewhat primal. You find different expressions of it in Southern Europe, Africa all the way to China. It generally is something that is done to call attention to an overwhelming emotion and expressing that emotion with no fear or draw attention. It's not just women, Mongol/Turcic warriors would ululate to draw attention to themselves and make certain that Tengri was looking down on them from the great sky as they went into battle, same thing with Native Americans mostly because they shared a loose religious and cultural link to the Tatars of the Taiga and the Central Plains until the Bering Landbridge became the Bering Strait and Asia was cut off from North America outside of some haphazard Journey by Kanuck or Inuit Fishermen. Ancient Greek/Roman women used to Ululate at sacrifices to draw the attention of the gods to their deeds, this was an expression of joy, but it's not always a happy thing as ululation can also accompany mourning. Greek women would also Ululate in ritual mourning as the mourner tore her clothes and scratched at her face, to draw the attention of the departed spirit to how sad they were at their passing. It was even common in Central Europe until the Church declared a heretical behavior tied to demonic sources, you don't need to draw the attention of an all seeing god, because it already sees everything. This is an arabic practise usually meant to celebrate something, not sure what people call it, but the original term is "Tzaghrit" or "Zagharit" (زغاريت), google it you might find some other source that might help you.
