    Hi guys,

today I install all Softube plugins from the Big Wave :) from the sister site.

They works great, but after I close GUI of this softube plugs, then I have error.

I have Win 8 and Ableton Live 9.

So, when I just close any softube plug I have error and Ableton just crash. And after that when I start Ableton, Ableton start scan plugins and found this Softube plugins again.
Then I just open any Softube plug and again everything works great until I want close plugin, then same problem happens, so again crash, but like I said I have error only when I close this plugins, I have no problem with sound, presets, GUI etc..

I try reinstall them but this not helps.

So, have you any idea why this happen and how to fix it?

    Thank you so much! :)

    a test to try

    1. Make sure your DAW is not running.
    2. Go to the folder C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Softube
    3. If the file “Softube Global Settings.txt” is there, change the true to false in the file. Save.
    4. Restart the DAW and try again.

this will turn the plugs opengl off as a test.

you can then see if it's videocard driver Gl issue.

post test, if that works, then perhaps try making sure you have latest driver installed for your OS. since you're using older app and os, you get what you get. If this doesn't work, you're likely SOL

In options of the plugin you can change the way the gui is rendered. Change that and try again

Try updating Live to at least Version 10 and see how you get on.

System Requirements for Plug-Ins All native versions

    - Windows 10 64-bit (older Windows versions may work but are not tested)
    - Windows: Intel Core i3 / i5 / i7 / Xeon / AMD Quad-Core or newer
    - Screen resolution larger than 1280x800

    - 8 GB RAM or more is recommended, as well as at least 8 GB hard disk space for installation (individual plug-ins take less space, while sample libraries may require additional disk space. Specific information available on each instrument’s page).

However, due to plug-in host differences between DAWs - and our own rigorous testing standards - we only officially test our plug-ins and instruments in the most recent versions of Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Cubase, Ableton Live, Studio One, Reaper and Cakewalk. Softube plugins are not tested in non-listed systems, but they most likely work as long as the system requirements are met. We cannot guarantee a solution for issues in unsupported systems.Note: Softube plug-ins support 64-bit hosts only, and a 64-bit OS is required.Note:

With regards to the different VST formats, we strongly recommend using VST3 as some of our plug-ins have features that are not present in the older VST format.Supported sample rates: 44.1, 48, 88.2, 96, 176.4 and 192 kHz, in both mono and stereo. The most recent maintenance release of your DAW application is recommended.AAX DSP is not currently in active development.TDM/VENUE are no longer supported (old downloads are available on the Legacy Installers page)

    OpenGL
    - The problem is reoccurring OpenGL renderer issues which Softube
haphazardly patch and Windows updates repeatedly break.

    - Update your Graphic Drive / OpenGL driver

    - Maybe this will help:

It has to do with GSYNC guys.
Go to NVIDIA Systemsettings page -> GSYNC
Then ONLY tick "Fullscreen", NOT "Windowed + Fullscreen".
That fixes it, somehow the Softube plugins really dont like GSYNC which is activated if its in "Windowed + Fullscreen" mode.

Nice to hear it works now. If you want to close the thread you can write (Solved) in the heading or give someone a "best answer".
