    Hi,
There seems to be no ends to the problems im having with Kontakt inside Studio One.
Now that I was finally able to make Studio One scan Kontakt, it won't load the UI. All I get is a bunch of knobs.
Anyone have this problem also? How did you fix it?
    Thanks.

EDIT: I reinstalled Cubase just to check if it works or not, and it does. The problem is definitely with Studio One.

    Hi.
Well, I don't think you need to call us knobs, but whatever.
This is usually because the specific library hasn't installed the images in the right place.
Haven't looked at pic. What OS platform are you on? (Just looked, still can't tell).
Then I can say where the images are supposed to go.
There is no specific UI for Kontakt; each lib has it's own graphics and scripting.

I don't believe this has anything to do with Studio One. Most probably it is a bad KONTAKT installation.
Try reinstalling it. If it the problem persists, try a different version.
Moreover, it could be a problem with a specific bank. It happened to me with the Kontakt Factory Library. I found another installation and since then it has worked like a charm.

try other plugins formats and standalone version.

this is new s1 project or previously saved? kontakt was added in project before and now when you trying edit project you see this instead kontakt gui? or you try to add kontakt as new instrument in project?

I don't think that the problem in one of your libraries, because I see kontakt gui withouut loaded library / instrument.

I just found out that the Kontakt I've been trying to load was Kontakt.vst3. Kontakt.dll is still blocked by Studio One. I don't know what to do. Reinstalling did nothing. I'm back at square one.

Yes, the standalone EXE is working fine. What is not working is inside Studio One.

Kontakt 6 - System requirements: Graphics card that supports OpenGL 2.1 or newer

Maybe an OpenGL problem, which graphics card are you using? Which operating system do you use?

EDIT: I reinstalled Cubase just to check if it works or not, and it does. The problem is definitely with Studio One.

O.K your Grafik card have Open GL 4.5 ! It's OK

Uninstall Kontakt and try a version that you already ran.
If the version that has already worked no longer works, the problem lies elsewhere.

Good news: I looked up Studio One on the sister site and found a more recent version (I was using 5.1 when Kontakt stopped working) and that has solved the issue.

Hi guys, sorry to revive an old thread but I'm having the same issue and I can't figure out what's going on. This seems to be the only post online about it.
Windows 10 latest. Studio One v6.1.1. Kontakt 7.3.1
I open kontakt in Cakewalk and it's perfect.
I open kontakt in Cubase and it's perfect.
I open it in Studio One and there is no GUI but just a massive panel with knobs just like in ghostwriter's original post.
I had the same issue with Kontakt 7.0.1 and figured to wait until an update was released. Now with 7.3.1 (and updates on Studio One as well) still in the same situation.
Any ideas would be much appreciated
    Thanks

So, after a long and tedious experimentation I managed to solve this. For some weird reason, if I firewall Studio One, which I had done, Kontakt vst appears broken. It it shows either as a bunch of knobs (Kontakt 7), or a tiny, empty window (Kontakt 6). As soon as I removed the firewall rule for Studio One, it all came back to its correct state.

Now, one may ask, if we dont firewall Studio One, we cannot launch it, since it connects to the internet and gets deactivated.
One simple solution, is to simply disconnect before you run Studio One.
A better solution would be to edit the hosts, although I didnt have much success with it yet. I would love if someone with greater expertise can help with that.

But there you go! Just remove the firewall rule for Studio One, disconnect from the internet and the broken Kontakt UI problem is gone!
