Nightwish, in my all-time top 3 bands. Symphonic orchestra and choir mashed-up with metal. Incredible vocalists. Incredible lives. Marko - bass, vocals and some writing - left the band a couple months ago... :suicide:

This is the best definition hands down. Well said, almost-neighbor
Like always there are exceptions. The classics Iron Maiden, like someone well pointed out technically, had a tone/distortion that was more comparable to, say, more modern hard rock bands.

No doubt about that, that's why I wrote HM, not just Metal. :winker:

In case some of you don't know this band, don't worry, the vid has only close 145 million clicks.

I don't know if this would be considered Blues Rock, Rock, Hard Rock or Heavy Metal, but there it goes..

It's like a love-hate relationship between the very Interesting and Great playing/Composition (specially for the time),
and the Singing.. sometimes it's like fak dude, such a bad singer and so helplessly German.. :bleh: lol

But also very Authentic at the same time!
Great disc I always Loved, so it's all in good terms, no hard feelings

I keep reading about them and I'm sure they're nice kids.
Unfortunately seems a metal version of the Japanese "idol" concept. Can't like that.
