Ableton Live 10 installing - not enough space

    Hi, I am just trying to install Live 10.1.19 R2R. The installation stopped due to not enough space on the disc. I had 11GB of free space. So I made more space up to 25Gb. Installation was successful but it took 12GB while installing and 9GB after finishing the installation. The installer is only 1.70GB large. Why does the installing process and after take so much space?

    Hi. Any clues about why coinciding Live 10 again but 10.1.40 can’t be installed due to not enough space? There are 12GB of free space on the system drive. I have the second drive with plenty of space. I moved the temporary folders to the second drive.

    the original Ableton setup take up 4+GB, also when u unpack the 7zip iso.

    But normally even 10GB should work (without upgrading ableton, just plain new install), unless you upgrade, when upgrading the ableton setup stores temp folders, saving the older install somewhere if the install process is canceled so you can roll back the install. This adds another 6GB.

    so my advice is, make a new install - do not update, settings are anyway copied from the app data folder to your new version.

    Yes, I uninstalled the previous version. I also uninstalled the v11 which was installed without any problems.

    I have to empty some more space up to 13GB. Then I could install the program.

    Why do I need so much space for this installation? I can install v11 without problems.
