Hi, I'm Using Kontakt 5.1 on win8.1 x64 and I have a problem to fix many library. ( sorry if i make some errors of langage i'm not currently speak english )

I explain the problem. I run Kontakt in standalone (i run it in administrator mode) & add a library, the extension appear & work correctly.

But when I reload it, the extension disappear.. & If I try to modify the .nicnt file with notepad ++ the library don't import files & say "this patch is encrypted and cannot be loaded unless the respective library is registered properly" ..

And when i try to fix the problem inserting the nki & nkm files in quick load ( evidently with the real .nicnt file in library ) & i try to load patch the same error message appear..

I have tried all solution on audiosex pro & many other forums and it doesn't work .. Anyone know how to fix this problem ?

    Thanks per advance

I'm pretty sure this has been answered here before, but at the moment I can't remember which topic post it was posted in. :dunno:

Thanks for your answer, i have a semi-solution .. I've found a soluce but there is again a problem; i create an entry in registry with this tips :

    http://audiosex.pro/index.php?/topic/618-save-kontakt-library-activations

& when i reload, the extension appear (without wallpaper) but the extension looking for nkx file.. I've copy & rename the nicnt file to nkx file. He found it but it can't load instruments & the same error message 'encrypted don't work etc' appear when i reload my kontakt 5..

    Have u any idea ?

I've try the solution ( the last post ) only on cinematic guitars

The list of extensions don't work (with quickload too):

Cinematic Guitars 2 from Sample Logic
    Mesawinds by Orange Tree Sample
    Shreddage 2 from Impact soundwork
    Sonokinetic Arpeggio
    Efimoz Guitar

I attach a screen of my kontakt error

    Hi,

What is it exactly in your folder Cinematic Guitars 2? Have you changed the NICNT file?

Pretty sure a batch resave should fix it if it works the first time you load it. Do everything you normally do add library, find missing files etc. Then go to the files tab and select batch resave. Locate the folder for the library when prompted and run the batch resave. Next time you open up Kontakt everything should be fine.

Also if it isn't even working the first time you add it it's because you are using a library the needs to be installed/registered through the service center and you don't have a license for it.

I do not think it's that. Kontakt 5.2.1 supports all libraries.

There must be something in his folder that should not be there.

nah I'm sayin if that's the error he's getting the first time then he must be trying to use the content from a cracked library that needed to use an installer.

I'm with LV on this one. Kontakt v5.2.1 support any library. Even with an installer. You could extract the files out of the installer and use them manually.

I think you should download newest update for Kontakt v5.2.1. Then if something is still wonky, those are not actual libraries that show up normally. Those are samples you had to make into libraries by creating a nicnt file. So, maybe you made the nicnt files wrong. Each nicnt has to have its own snipd number? I think that's what its called?

Anyway, find a tutorial on AudioSex about making nicnt files, and make sure yours are created and numbered correctly. And they don't have the same number as an already existing library.

Lastly, if you screw up a library, you have to delete 3 things to totally delete it and try adding it again. Delete library from tab in Kontakt. Delete corresponding xml file at C:\Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments\Service Center\. And last thing to delete is corresponding registry key at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Native Instruments\. Then and only then is the library deleted and you can try adding it again.

Pardon me for just jumping in but your response prompted my question. I'm currently using Kontakt Komplete 8 - (5.1) and I keep getting the error that a patch was created by newer version, and the same issue with "encrypted patches." Question: Is there an update to my player or do I need to create a custom library for the library that won't one? (EthnoWorld 5)

okay apparently no one understands what I'm saying. It has nothing to do with what version it is. If he is getting the encryption error the first time he loads the library it is most likeley because he is trying to use a cracked library the wrong way. Certain cracked libraries have to be run from an installer to work. That is how some of the libraries are protected so you can't just get the samples and instrument files from someone else and use them.

Understood you completely roksteddi and I disagree. The only thing an installer does is install pictures to the kontakt common files folder sometimes. Secondly, those libraries he wanted to add don't come with installers, except arppeggio to install the pics. Mesawinds, etc, none of those are actual libraries that go into the lib tab. They are just sample collections, not encrypted if he got them from here. Also, if he has been trying to load his homemade libraries repeatedly, there will be multiple xml files to delete. And the encryption error isn't when he loads a library. The libraries are disappearing from his lib tab. And I do agree with part of the batch resave theory. If he was trying to load like EWQL Symphonic Choirs, those are encrypted libraries and if you try to change folder structure to make it show up as a nice library in Kontakt 5, it will mess up the samples and a batch resave will fix that. But he is not trying to load an encrypted library, but some homemade ones. And I feel he hasn't made the nicnt files quite right. And further after he gets his homemade libraries to show up properly, then a batch resave will resolve all the missing samples from his homemade libraries. But as it stands, something is not working with his nicnt files to make them show properly in the lib tab. Batch resaving will not fix the lib tab, it won't make the library show up! So to me, xtatikck, you need to update to kontakt v5.2.1. And make sure you know how to make your homemade libraries properly, and give each one a proper nicnt file. Then your libraries will show up. Then you can worry about patches not working later, and batch resave them if necessary.

And Piano Man, yes update just the kontakt player to v5.2.1. You can search for it on sister site.

While I quoted just the last of your post, it was a wealth of info. Thank you. Dare I embarrass myself as the new guy and ask what the sister site is?

Edit: Scratch that. I believe I found it. Starts with an a and ends with z.

Ok, for that Berlin Woodwinds you need to click browse for folder, and then browse your pc and find that file. It should be in the folder somewhere, where you have the rest of the samples and instruments. Its not a sample though, its the info file. When you find it hit ok and the library should load.

If after you find that file and it still doesn't want to work. You need to delete those three things like I said before, the lib, xml, and regkey. And try to import it again.

Then if you are still having trouble, alternatively, you don't have to load it through the library tab. You could just browse to the .nki instruments and open them through the file browser tab.
