Old chinese knockoff got broken, I am never buying anything from an unknown brand ffs

    Behringer HPS3000, HPX2000, 4000, HC 200; AKG K52, K72, are at the top of my budget (~INR 2000).

Senheiser HD206 is priced below all these @1500, but I thought I should mention it, since I have heard a lot of good things about that one. I had a HD180 before the oneodio crap i got and it was good except for its ultra long thin cable.

I see one osl xsw 7x (₹1600) a lot too, but hearing it first time. One more brand "edifier".

I make edm only, if that helps.

I had dt 770 and it broke, then I got ath-m40x. I do use it with sonarworks. I don't know why but I love it more than the dt 770.(In terms of sound)
    it's very good, consider it.

I was using the HD 280 Pro, but they require a ton of trim to prevent clipping from the correction of Sonarworks. I switched to AtH-m40x and they’ve been great and they take correction really well. The M20x is another highly recommended one once paired with Sonarworks, I skipped it (and M30x) because of the exposed cables for the drivers since I’m travelling with them

    Thanks guys for your replies,

Listed for 75$ on amazon.com, not available itself where I live

These cost closer to dt990 pro

    I think I should get the HD206 or K-52 or K-72.

What do you think about behringer or are they meh?

if you live in Texas during a snowstorm you can use the dt990 pros as earmuffs.

use them as your comparison then. see what other pair you are about to pick. look at the difference in price and decide. you "may" save a little money in the long run. you are probably talking about very little money. I mostly mix on monitors, but I like the dt990 pros for a reason.
there is always an unbroken pair of them. and I'm used to what they sound like.

Hello @demberto, 4 place in the sales ranking for studio headphones:

    Superlux HD-681 - 25 €
    - Dynamic headphones with good sound and even better price-performance ratio
    https://www.thomann.de/de/superlux_hd681.htm?sid=e650f0718b6f27b53cd4a21fac2a8ebc

Further comment by Peter Könemann: The HD681 proves that no conclusions can be drawn about the quality about the price. Thanks to its overall balanced properties, the Superlux does not show its nakedness in any discipline and can hold its own against models that cost many times more, even under professional conditions. If you can do without prestige and glamor, you should definitely try the Superlux HD681!
The design of the HD681 was probably inspired by the AKG K240 MkII, and the HD681 is a close relative in terms of looks.
The optical similarity is intentional, has its company history background and suggests a professional department rather than a consumer headset. The first optical impression is already top.

    The design
The HD681 is a well-built, sturdy circumaural headphone with obviously cheap materials. Essentially, a metal bracket encased in black plastic gives the HD681 the necessary support for the ear cups. The pads on the inside of the cups are covered with inexpensive artificial leather and are only attached to the construction. Although they hold their position bravely, they are very easy to remove and reveal where savings were made.
Unfortunately, the headband doesn't please either: The synthetic leather is simply too sharp-edged at the seams.
The contact pressure is very moderate and allows for hours of wear.

    The sound
Current productions with decent pressure in the low frequency range and a supposedly built-in loudness curve can convince me right away. The bass pressure is decent, although not completely exaggerated like many headphones trimmed for lifestyle.
The mids are quite clearly presented and the highs also pop quite nicely. The stereo width is also amazing; the semi-open design creates a nice stage.

The HD681 manages to map the bass well in terms of transients, kicks have enough low end to push, hi-hats gain bite in the highs, but get a little too sharp for me at very high volume.

To better evaluate the HD681 in terms of dynamics as well, switch to modern jazz. The spaciousness of the traditional jazz setup of double bass, drums, piano and vocals in the sound of the 2010s is nicely drawn in its width and the important resulting liveliness of the performance.
Only in the vocals annoyed me from a certain loudness the overdrawing image of the treble.

A lot of headphones for a small price
Due to its rich sound and solid workmanship, the HD681 is very well suited for beginners and intermediates and simply everyone who likes great sound on the go. In addition, the HD681 surprised me with sound and a nice stereo image, it can handle almost every music style over wide areas and is good in wearing comfort.
Some drawbacks are the sharp edges of the headband and the somewhat cheap-looking padding of the ear cups.
The headphone cable is firmly attached to the left ear cup, and an adapter for 6.3 mm inputs is also included in gold-plated form.
