Most of the Softube and Brainworx stuff just doesn't interest me.... I realise such a statement will be taken as almost blasphemous on here.

I wanted to love it so bad. But it just refused to make my shitty recordings sound perfect like I'd imagined :(:(:(

I completely hate Windows from Windows XP onward, more with each iterration. Shit system all-around they keep filling with tasks and bloat it cannot provide properly, especially when it comes to real time processing. W10 has gone so much overboard when it comes to real time processing it's an embarrassment when it comes to us musicians, and video editors. The Windows OS just reeks internally. It reeks of unclean sewage.

I'm so sorry that beOS didn't make it [Microsoft bought it and make it disappear, wonder why?]. That could have been an operating system for the creatives and nobody else.

get something like Thesys or Phrasebox VST for it. much more superior MIDI programming pattern and triggering capabilities than any DAW can offer natively

There are PROS and CONS for FL. Thats one way to take down one of the CONS if the PROS are really good for you. For instance modulating yo momma

A lot of posts and I read most of them so I would not repeat someone else. I was going say operating systems but that's been done and after reading posts not much has not been covered.
If I was to summarise this thread the answer could easily be read as all software in general

Gullfoss. Listened to A/B's, downloaded it and tried it, and didn't notice any real appreciable difference. Just seemed like fluff to me.

I also dislike most modern synths and the overall direction of synth development in general tbh. I'm tired of super-clean wavetable synths that seem to keep marketing to the Dubstep crowd (Vital seems to be the latest example) and I'm not crazy for the constant obsession over Roland Juno's, Minimoogs and the vintage synths of old either. I'm that one weirdo who likes classic digital synths like the JD800, Korg Legacy Collection, and it's tragic how many of the digital and virtual analog synths of the 90's/2k era have had extremely little, if any, interest by their companies in porting them to software plugins.

Neural DSP amp sims, all of them I've tried and I just can't. Funny how I've used to save cash to get the Quad Cortex but cancelled immediately after tested those amp, thanks to R2R!

TH-U (sometimes Softubes) and the new Ampeg + IRs for my guitar and bass needs.

I'm the kind of guy that draws polyrhythmic arpeggios by hand in MIDI :guru:
Never really got accustomed to a "hardware" way of making electronic music.
I have HY-PLUGINS' plugins in my toolbox, but never really use them aside of HY-Poly and HY-Delay.
