    Hello guys

This goes out to all the people who have a virus TI

Can any of you record some FM wavetables? Like with some slow lfo modulating the fm amount over time and share here on the forum for everyone?

its something that's missing so If anyone is willing to do this...It would be greatly appreciated

    Cheers

ok, so what is the best way to make the samples? format wise... I'd like to setup a loop in logic so that I can just change the oscillator 2 wavetable for each sample. I can do a 1-100 curved automation of parameters, etc. how many notes, what sample duration? the TI has 100 individual wavetables. it would be good to set it up right before doing a bunch.

Marc from Access had mentioned a long time ago:

'the wavetables in the Virus TI were designed from scratch. they are not simple single cycle waveforms but rather multiple waveforms stretched over the keyboard. they are based on a formula rather than being a sample.'

yes, but we are talking about just making samples of them for use elsewhere. there are 100 which can be used single oscillator, sine, and pwm. normally I would use Logic Autosampler and take a few keys per octave if sampling a patch, but in this case would need to be triggered via a midi loop with automation re: oscillator 2, because of automating the FM amount/lfo parameters center value. so hopefully just a few automation lanes, maybe over 3 whole notes at 120bpm. just samples of the basic single wavetable oscillator like
    . without getting terribly complicated..

I asked him if he was not sure they had already been done. I have so many samples from it I have not even gone through.

These are sampled from the units but they are stepped. If you want smooth transitions you'd have to use Vital or perhaps https://synthtech.com/waveedit/ to make something that sweeps from one to another smoothly. Skies the limit tho. It's great we have them to experiment with!

well what I was think is do multiple fm patches with different settings on each one like osc1 semi osc2 semi and modulate with a slow lfo the osc2 FM amount and record that as audio and its ready for import to a wavetable synth
