Hi, this is sort of an audiophile game.

There are some pretty weird changes from some artists or bands, is like they got possessed by the devil itself and then ascended to the kingdom of God, or maybe they are bipolar, rich to poor, or from pop to extreme experimental music o vice versa, who knows why?

    Guidelines.

Must be the same artist, band or producer (why not) the idea is to show the different extremes, not necessarily about experimental vs pop, good or bad, but also trying to show underground groups, rare genres, or just because it's interesting, rare or weird.

Add two videos with some intro for example:
The Golden Palominos - The Golden Palominos (debut album 1983) - under the cap
No wave - Creepy singing, screaming, strong percussion

The Golden Palominos (feat. Michael Stipe) - Visions of Excess (1985) - Only One Party (Boy go)
Post-punk - Quite like Genesis or Peter Gabriel

It's not necessary to add links, is just that was easy to copy them from wikipedia :)

When I was teenager I had a Punk Rock period we used mohawk and we had stupid fight in school parties, also we had classic drunk arguing about the most bad ass bands or if certain group was punk, hardcore or just metal (metal was religiously banned for the ears of a real punk)

I remember the first time that we saw a video from ministry was so bad ass, later someone make an story from this video as Ministry fans were so hardcore that in concerts they needed to jail them selves for protection, and we believed it lol

Many years later, as usual listening some of these oldies I found weird videos of a supposed "ministry" band with those new wave gayish style after looking more about same guys and band, I was like wtf?, if we knew about years before we could had a good fight / argue about lol

Then you probably also know the band LARD, it was the same time. "
That was the ideal music for the weekend to get in a party mood. The main thing is that the beer wasn't all.

    L͟a͟r͟d - The Last T͟e͟m͟ta̲tion of R͟e͟i͟d͟ (1990)

Lard is a hardcore punk / industrial rock band founded in 1989 by Jello Biafra (vocals), Al Jourgensen (guitar), Paul Barker (electric bass) and Jeff Ward (drums). Biafra is better known as the lead singer of the Dead Kennedys. Jourgensen and Barker are founding members of the industrial metal band Ministry, which Ward was a part of.

    Soft Cell - Sex Dwarf

Directed by Tim Pope, Soft Cell’s Sex Dwarf video, released to promote their debut album, created quite a scandal in 1981. Claiming it was pornographic, British police actually confiscated copies of the video. It was banned from MTV at the time and has been banned from YouTube…though it pops up now and then.

The Sex Dwarf clip reminds me of the films of Jack Smith and The Kuchar Brothers, mashed up with Texas Chainsaw Massacre: a Bacchanalian group grope full of writhing bodies, hot flesh and a chainsaw. Enjoy it in all its sleazy glory.

As its not on Youtube, here a working link to it. WARNING!! All you vegetatians and vegans out there shouldnt click on it! :D

Here is some kind on info to it.

Due to the problems Soft Cell made an alternative video! ;)
Here the ironic intro to the censored version (4:20 min):

And here the self censored version with exactly the same actors!:

I didn't knew about that video lol crazy, reminded me of Frank Zappa when he was arrested for doing pornography records.

Prodigy smack my bitch up (uncensored version) seems quite friendly compared, who didn't have a crazy night lol.
This video is banned from TV and Youtube.
The video, filmed entirely in first-person perspective, depicts a drug-and-alcohol-fueled night out through the eyes of a mostly-unseen character. This character first showers and dresses, then drinks vodka and sniffs cocaine before going out. At a bar, the protagonist has several more drinks, sexually assaults multiple women, violently attacks several men, and destroys the DJ's equipment before running to the restroom to vomit and inject intravenous drugs. Later, at a strip club, the protagonist drinks more alcohol while watching nude dancers, and eventually brings one stripper home to have sex. Finally, after they have sex, a look in the mirror reveals the protagonist to have been a young, blonde woman; as the song ends, she passes out on her bed.
Directed by Jonas Åkerlund he has been doing Music videos for Madonna "Ray of Light" Metallica, Christina Aguilera, U2, Blink-182, P!nk, Rammstein, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga and Smashing Pumpkins

And what about the constant reinvention of Kevin Rowland/Dexys Midnight Runners?

From brilliant Northern Soul influenced gang of "don't fuck with us!" pencil-moustachioed, dock-workers-with-a-brass-section's impassioned paean to Geno Washington...

Via mega-successful, fiddle heavy, curly moptopped, dungaree clad Irish gypsies, peddling THE singalong fave of your drunk Aunt at weddings...

To universally derided, soft focus, buttock flashing, "come to my boudoir" cross-dressing pop weirdness...

Ol' Kev is definitely at the vanguard of carefree shitting on genre boundaries whilst myopically ploughing a decidedly singular furrow!

In the 80s there was still singing. Now people are screaming.
After that there is nothing more, faster, harder, louder, more compression and distortion is not possible.
So Stilstand or Back to the 80tys, 90tys.

Killing Joke - Love Like Blood (1985)

Killing Joke - Hosannas From The Basements Of Hell (2006)

This is interesting Ian Curtis kill himself and most of his songs are depressing and I think he has also a rare sickness he avoided light or something like that (I just checked epilepsy and depression), he certainly inspired many musicians in new wave, dark and other post punk movements.

Blue monday also was quite a rare, unexpected hit, the music is like techno-disco-break dance but it's just the style of Joy Division I guess didn't meant to be a positive song actually the lyrics are about the gf of Ian Curtis that was quite a jerk or Ian was so vulnerable about his feelings.

Anyway that song generate a lot of copy cats, pretty influential in pop culture, I guess everyone without exception got that album expecting much more songs as Blue Monday.

New Order and Joy Division was much more darker than the happy dance music that usually got mixed in (shannon, freeez, dead or alive, duran duran, human league ).

I would add this one, was my favorite probably because the syncopated anti melodies.
Also notable the vocals with that particular and fast vibrato-octave change while singing

    Cool!
I'm a big Torsos fan, but actually I never heard this Studio version before,
certainly a different sound/production than the Live CD or the actual Concert..

I got some loose tracks from it to compliment the Live CD tho,
like Graffity Cementery, Wedding in Sarajevo etc..

And I actually went to one of his concerts maybe around 2006?
Original line-up, crazy effing good/intense, one of the best concerts I've ever attended fo sho..

This is not mad but really rare Jazz Fusion with Classical Indian Music, they use scales with 1/4 tones, plus follow many if not all the rules (sometimes religious ones)

And well John McLaughlin can play so many styles, I like this one with Paco de Lucia and Al Di Meola, kind of Jazz Fusion Flamenco a classic
