I have a old uad-1 card with some plugin still in demo mode anyone any info if i run runasdate will it work on the demo's ? thanks

UA usually switches the demos back to you without any problems. Just write them a mail and present the situation and ask for the demos to be reset. When updating the software to a current version, this may also be necessary because the demos are partially all deactivated (has happened to me twice). So now it's nothing unusual to have the demos reset again.

Just don't make the mistake of activating all plugins immediately in demo mode. You quickly forget that you wanted / have to test something and the 14 days quickly expired. That’s a lot of plugins, depending on the situation.I always do this directly by email with UA. When you write them an email, don't forget to include your UA account. So your email and the name with which you registered with UA.

I know all that info above the uad-1 is a legacy product now so support is no more , what i wanted to know has anyone used runasdate.exe on the uad control panel after demo activation of plugins ? spotted this info http://www.audiobar.cn/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=252157
and wonderered if runasdate.exe would do the same result

 

When I had my UAD-1 card I could extend the date on the demos by changing the date on my system. That was early days though. Once UAD caught on they made an update to disable it.
