This is very chill too. I hear it as a early morning song or a song you want to listen to after a good long day on the beach. Fire up and bbq and put on some schrimps!

From one dog to another, never apologise for your creativity because imagination and the willingness to put it into action without fear is a gift and also admirable. I think we all wish that everything we write is the best thing we have written but life does not work that way. We aim for it and that is all we can do. You are doing it and getting it out there. These days, that is Kudos to the max.

Thank you so much for your support. It's been hard the last two months. My studio was flooded in the March rains and I've been working with just a mouse and keyboard on the kitchen table. I was going nuts not making music for so long, but I had to get stuff out. I still don't know when I'll be able to be back in the studio. Insurance say they won't pay. ☠️

 

This stuff is great. Color Me Crimson is really hitting the spot right now. Great vibes. Thanks for sharing.

 

@Lenny Belardo II - I actually do not know what to click - I love your determination and I am equivocally sad for you because I know all too well how insurance companies in Australia work. People laugh at the Billy Connolly Movie "The Man who sued God" because they think it is completely fictional. The thing is while the story is fictional, the amount of times any Australian insurance company can use "An act of God" to get out of paying , they will.

I'm just sending out "love it" emojis to anyone enjoying these tracks. They are all ITB Logic Pro with Audio Technica cans for monitoring and a NI 25 keyboard for inputting notes. The rest is "found objects" style collage. Cut and paste, shift pitch, drag and drop, stretch to fit. Doing as much as I can with the bare minimum. Working quickly for maybe two hours per track so I don't get bogged down.

@Lenny Belardo II - And the insurance company of whom I am sure, definitely knew what you had and what it cost, and also what would happen if you lost it and the cost to them. I checked out the baffles and the sheer acoustic design and cost of what it would take to replace in keyboards, computer, software, speakers, automated desk, and the other outboard gear roughly in my head... I can even see the NS-10s in the upper corner...and the JBL's... oh Lenny I am crying and it's not me.
You're strong pal. I had a feeling it might be something like this.
I'd get a lawyer and sue them. You do not have much more to lose other than lawyer costs.

I've just noticed the tone and dynamics of these tracks are all over the place. Always let a professional master your songs. Only mix and master under parental supervision.

I noticed an unpleasant artifact when creating harmonies in Melodyne. It screws up sibilants.
Are you writing this down? It's important.

 

The sibilance wasn't Melodyne. It was me. I really don't know what I'm doing.
