    My guesses would be:
    1. FL Studio is known as the most pirated DAW helping give it the large user base, SSL may not see it as a priority thinking those are not the money spending users they are marketing this non-necessary controller to.
    2. FL Studio is not really seen as a mixing DAW, it's strengths are production based.

$400 Its main limitation is that you can only control one parameter at a time. No a big deal for some, but nice to be able to.

So its no better than a mouse.

Let's wait for BCR32 and see what it can do.

That is a big limitation imo. Its always the software/daw implementation that makes or breaks a product like this.

Well, my personal experience is nothing can beat a DAW in full multi touch mode. So touchscreen, using iPad or Android Tablet as sidecar beats them all IMHO.

Lemur and Touch OSC is basically like a generic controller and so not everything will be a 1-to-1 function.
But I also love the idea of using iPad as a sidecar to Mac.
Same way, I like Duet app to add an iPad or Android Tab as a sidecar.

Once you start touching every parameter of your DAW and Plugins, it will be way more fun and intuitive. Off course, you feel not get 100% feedback compared to what you would have got by using an actual hardware knob or fader but, using touchscreen with multi touch is Waaaaaaaaaaay better than mouse-keyboard workflow, IMO.

Sounds like a car model though. Oh, and they'll put somehow a M1 chip in it.

Can you map it to PA SSL/Console N plugins?

we have a review here from Vintage King:

Plugins are surely interesting, I still can't figure out why I should have the overwhelming need for this controller

Are you even using FL? I watched a CLA tutorial and he was saying doing what he does on his console would have been a nightmare in pro tools. And what he was doing was basic to set up in FL.
I'm watching a tutorial now and his daw mixing faders are little arrows wtf. It would be a pain to see where your levels are. I think he's using Ableton?

If you track/mix on an SSL.. this is a fantastic option for a mix engineer/producer. Track in an SSL room @ $=x per day?? then take it home to perfect it. There are plenty of other options out there but if you are doing the SSL thing (tracking then mixing) this with an interface and fader pack would pay for itself in a couple of months.

I have used FL and I spent literally night and day to learn it, watching Noob videos, then watching intermediate videos then watching pro videos and finally the manual reading and just goofing around inside FL Studio. You may or may not trust me but I became very familiar with FL and my, what you may call the command over a software, for FL became very high in those 1.5 years.

But it lacked way too much features. No 1 to 1 relationship with the mixer. Low PPQ. Limited number of Mixer channel, No comping, No advanced composition features (like Cubase or Studio One recently), badly manages VSTs, No ARA, No Macro command (Batch commander Type), no easy Sidechaining, less customizability and above all, pretty poor CPU usage. The only DAW that started to go pop and click (full CPU meter) with my both 1st and 2nd Gen Threadrippers (16 cores and 24 cores, respectively). Exact same project, when imitated on Ableton, the CPU load reduced. CPU load reduced even further on Cubase and Studio One and it was the lowest when the DAW was Reaper. Sample rate and everything was identical.

So after a lot, I stopped using it. It was hard learning new DAW because I became so used to with FL but I made the switch and finally I am on Studio One (where you can set your own keyboard shortcuts and you will not have to conform to company's shortcuts) which, may not be the perfect or best DAW but for mixing and Mastering, helps in the artists' workflow and creates less frustration. For me, the badly designed CPU performance was the biggest problem. With whatever you have, imitate the same project on other DAWs and check. Even bigshot EDM artists like BJ or SaberZ, on camera showed how the CPU handling of FL is so so so bad.

Again, I shared my personal thought. No Offence.
Also, I don't like Pro Tools as well.

It's not. Maybe the most pirated, or most downloaded (and tried for a couple of times) but I can't think of any professional users that use FL. From your other comments I see you are quite fond of it, but saying FL is better for mixing than Pro Tools, Cubase or Logic is a joke. It's also about targeting a certain audience. I doubt there are a lot of FL users who are interested in getting SSL gear.
