akaizer is nice and free, but it isn't a plugin. SP950 plugin sounds good for filtering, if you are not expecting it to be identical to the hardware. if you consider them their own thing, they both sound good.

it can go from just dirty sounding to full on bizarre in only a few clicks. sort of how CamelCrusher and Camelphat act on drums.
it says it is free on kvr, but I do seem to remember getting it as a scene release; so it might nag or something like that when free.

yeah solid archive is this , i always forget the sites address cause i have enough drums for life

 

their samples are pretty high quality IMO. Love the Live's Pack by WA and their Kontakt library as well. Been using them a lot before I discovered the Sample From Mars which also have some good classic drum machines samples.

yeah, I like to use it for its artifacts. It doesnt isolate the elements Perfectly- there is always bleed. But I like that smeary imperfection - it gives it its own character

i only install a fraction of it , the archive is for preserving (eg.sample robot etc)
but in the sample pool this can be a problem yeah but i still didnt dip into xo or atlas which are also in there .
